Hi guys! This is so cool! Anyway, Oliver Anthony has a channel with a couple of dozen of songs he recorded on his phone which you obviously found. Someone from RadioWV saw him perform and sent a crew with a real camera and a microphone to record him at his house. He lives off the grid in in Farmville Virginia. Those are his dogs and that big thing in the background is a deer blind, likely left over from the previous owners of the old farmhouse where he lives. He was a factory worker across the border in North Carolina which inspires a lot of his music.

Why do you say the deer stand is likely left over from previous owners? There is no farmhouse. He lives in a camper that has a tarp on the roof that he bought for $750. It is actually more likely that the deer stand is his. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Posted the comment before I knew about his Facebook account where he revealed his name and told us about the land and his living arangements. Even so, there may still be a farmhouse, one that is dilapidated and requires extensive renovation to be made habitable. Houses, especially ones with wood siding, fall apart rather quickly if there is no one living there and keeping them up. A lot of people who buy land from the estate of someone who has passed on have to live in a trailer or camper for years while they build a new house or make an old house livable. You can't get a conventional mortgage for a property with more than thirteen acres to buy a house in many states, you have to get a farm loan. I think you have to have at least a hundred acres to get a farm loan for undeveloped or land with prior agicultural use, and he only has eighty acres. As to the deer stand being his, I was just guessing it was something left over based on the apparent age. He could also have bought it used, or brought it from his folks place.

Christopher Lunsford (AKA Oliver Anthony) lives in Farmville, Virginia about 20 minutes from me. He has performed in some local venues, but I am SO glad the rest of the world gets to hear him now. He has had a tough life, but he owns a small farm now, and he is a devout Christian - if you hear him live you will hear him read from the Bible - he is the real deal. Hits message is FIRE. We all need to stop pointing fingers and blaming each other, and all join together to engage the real enemy - the Rich men north of Richmond.

Yes we do. Watching my husband risk his life as a lineman, working insane hours. And our sons. We have all boys and as they grow up I watched as the weight of the world changed them. They’re young men now. My husband and I pray that they will be able to do better than we did. We feel successful because we came up out of nothing. Hard work and a ton of sacrifice.
