Finally someone is showing what to do when stabilization doesn't work. Most tutorials are only showing the best case scenario with hand picked video that tracks without issues. Thank you!
@Itz_TOG Жыл бұрын
Quick tip: instead of using a bunch of transform and merge nodes to mirror your edges, you can just add a singular transform node and make your changes to the size and angle. You can also change the edge filter here by selecting on Edges in the inspector and changing the edge mode from Canvas to Mirror. Thanks for the video!

Had to watch a few times because the accent was a little difficult for me at times, but honestly this is the best video on tracking I've seen on KZbin. This is going to help me immensely. Thank you so much for your knowledge!

2:45 this is from the manual: "Occlusion Mask: The white occlusion mask input is used to mask out regions that do not need to be tracked. Regions where this mask is white will not be tracked. For example, a person moving in front of and occluding bits of the pattern may be confusing the tracker, and a quickly-created rough rotomask around the person can be used to tell the tracker to ignore the masked-out bits."

Thank you, been struggeling with these exact problems. Other tutorials kept using the default automatic stabalize tools but those didnt deal with the frame jumps etc. This tutorial helped a lot

Thanks for this amazing video. One question, how to use this technique in case of changing frame wherein no particular object is always going to be in the whole footage feom start to finish? For example: real estate walkthrough videos
@bioluminantmedia18 күн бұрын
For something like real estate walk-thrus you should be using a gimbal like a DJI or other typoe whereon you mount your camera. That will give you the best stabilization!

Great video. One question though: Why do you need to copy/flip the shot to top and side when you stabilize the tower on 5:59? What will it do?
@OliverAstrologo9 ай бұрын
It's to extend the borders, which means you won't have to crop the shot too much after stabilization.

Could you please help me Oliver ? It’s a great tutorial and I’ve learned new things, thank you so much 😊. But I have a problem and I don’t know what to do next? I’ve been tracking a car with planar tracker and at some point for a 1 second the car goes briefly behind the small bushes and reappears again. I did lost a tracking. I did tried to make planner tracker search area bigger over the car and bushes but it didn’t help. Please tell me what should I do? I need that car to get stabilised before and after the bushes in one continuous smooth motion
@OliverAstrologo Жыл бұрын
In these cases, it's advisable to create separate tracks and manually align the frames using a transform tool at the point where the object passes behind the bush.

Interessante!

wow great stuff!......since i am almost totally new to divanci, i need to watch about ten more times in order to understand it! my question is, do you know if this is better than the stabilizer in sony's catalyst browse? thanks!
@OliverAstrologo Жыл бұрын
Both techniques are useful in their own ways and they might be combined together. Catalyst uses the camera's gyro data and is highly effective in stabilizing micro vibrations, whereas this other technique works better with gimbal movement or hyper-lapse by utilizing visual tracking to maintain subject stability.

Thank you for the tuutorial, Oliver. It is very helpful. Can you explain the different motion types? What is the difference between Translation, or Translation + Rotation, or Translation + Rotation + Scale, or Affine, or Perspective? Thanks in advance.
@OliverAstrologo Жыл бұрын
Essentially, they determine which movements need to be tracked. The translation only tracks the frame shift, but by adding rotation and zoom, these can also be tracked. Lastly, perspective and affine are the most sophisticated, but they aren't necessary for the kind of stabilization we aim to achieve.

Fantastic video, super helpful! If you shoot on a tripod and for one reason or another get micro jitters (say on a very windy day), is this the technique you would use to stabilise the footage or is there a faster/better technique?
@OliverAstrologo Жыл бұрын
When dealing with micro-jitters, good old-fashioned stabilization is still the best way to go. This method comes in handy when the camera is moving, and the usual stabilization tools just aren't working.

my laptop in slow on after effect, is this app is lighter ?
@loustravels5858 Жыл бұрын
There are many times I could have used this technique. Thank you. Will you provide your thoughts on frame speed as it applies to recording and editing? Mainly, I am asking if you record at 60 fps do you input into Davinci at 60 or 24? If at 60 do you change speed rate to 40% for cinematic and slower for slo-mo?
@OliverAstrologo Жыл бұрын
Usually, I film at 50p instead of 60p and use a 25p timeline. This way, the footage doesn't appear jerky when played back, and if needed, I can apply a 50% slowdown to achieve the slow-motion effect. I hope this helps!
@loustravels5858 Жыл бұрын
@@OliverAstrologo Thanks. This is similar to what I have done, but only once did it seem amazing. I will practice more. For me I thought my video was choppy and not as cinematic. It could be my video was not good. Thanks, this info is helpful and appreciated.
