Hey Oliver, I'm not kissing your ass just giving compliments were their due. You are my favorite tattoo artist of all time. And you go over far more detail than my apprenticeship that I've gotten years ago. I'm a Long time tattoo artist your work, the detail and the help you give others! Man.. with people just going over knowledge in depth and detail like you do the world is going to have alot of amazing tattoo artists. You inspire us thanks much respect.

I think I once saw a video of Alex Sorsa and he used DK for lining, pretty sure he uses something softer for shading with rl’s and rs’s. DK’s have that coil sound Great video Oliver, thanks for sharing.

You talked about these artists kissing the skin or barely touching the skin and layering it up to achieve the shading they want. What would be the difference in your words from a scratcher where they talk about the ink falling out or not going in and these artists? Thanks for your videos btw, I cant get enough of them.
@OLIVERAYRE3 жыл бұрын
a scratcher in my opinion would just put one pass in there not showing the correct hand techniques (making it not very smooth, and and inconsistent, making the tattoo not look very good,! which will look bad.

@OLIVERAYRE3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the support! They are both amazing machines, in my opinion the bishop wand is a better all rounder machine the exo tends to just be a shader machine, it starts to snag the skin while using tighter needles so you will have to be careful with it

Stigma machines are very loud and tend to sound faster because of that. I'm using Stigma Spear and I run it on 6V. It really doesn't need more than that. It starts to vibrate quite alot on higher voltages and the sound is ... scary. First time I used it I was about to sell it immediately. Then after few weeks I gave it another chance using lower voltage ( 6V ) and the magic happened. My other machine is Equalizer proton which hits really soft and you cannot really tell by the sound that it is on. It runs at about 7.5-8V and it is ok. But the Stigma probably hits as fast but it sounds alot louder. In my oppinion , if the machine is Stigma , it is not that much faster.

Yesterday I was working on a tattoo and a bit of ink looking like threads was spreading under the skin, not a lot, just little and it disappeared after 10 mins. It was not a blowout, also happened one more time 3 weeks ago and after healing everything was right. Does anyone know what that might be?
@distantlight6653 жыл бұрын
Which ink are you using, actually?
@SrbijaSrbija10003 жыл бұрын
@@distantlight665 dynamic black, the ink is original.
@distantlight6653 жыл бұрын
@@SrbijaSrbija1000 so, it's the vessel you hit with the ink. It's okay for Dynamic, this ink is more liquid so it's easier to hit the upper layers of the blood vessels, that's what actually happened. The person you were working on is probably having varicosis or will have in the near future. That kind of skin is very thin, so that's what you can do - don't stretch it too hard, ease up a little to avoid hitting these vessels, and be more gentle while working, probably better use some kind of rotary machine, not coil. Hope it helps, sir :)
@SrbijaSrbija10003 жыл бұрын
@@distantlight665 Thank you for your answer, sir! :) I think your point is right, it makes a lot sense. I just wanted to make sure that nothing bad happened and now I am assured. You can look at 5:15 on this video and similar thing happened when he pulled that line, some of the ink went out. I think it's nothing bad, just need to be a bit more careful, the important thing is nothing stayed and the client didn't feel any pain even when that started happening.
@distantlight6653 жыл бұрын
@@SrbijaSrbija1000 yep, you're absolutely right, that is not bad and not an actual problem at all. Just the type of skin, better just be careful with it and nothing goes wrong :> By the way, can I have a look at your tattoos somewhere? :}
