Very practical as usual. I thought you were going to pre-comp the rotating shaving and apply a radial wipe, but the Set Matte with masks was much more elegant. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! I also tried that method at first but found this other method to be easier. When I can avoid precomping something, I tend to go that route instead. Glad you liked the video :)

How did you import your illustrator file into After Effects in a way that created shape layers with groups within them? When I import Illustrator files into my AE it creates illustrator layers without any subgroups.
