The matte layer is a shape layer - meaning that it's drawn using the pen tool (either in After Effects or Illustrator). In this case I had already created the shape for the glass, so I could simply copy that, color it blue for clarity, and use it to matte out the liquid. Hope that makes sense :)

Yes of course 👇 1. loopIn(): Loops keyframes before the first keyframe. 2. loopOut(): Loops keyframes after the last keyframe. 3. - value: Maintains the original property value in relation to the looping animation. So when combined, it takes the keyframes you have made for the specific property and play them on repeat both before and after. That's why it's important for the first and last keyframe to be the same - that way it's able to loop. Hope that makes sense!

Here's what I generally do when working on a longer explainer video: - Client meeting, getting a sense of the overall storyline and concept. - Manuscript for the voice-over - Storyboarding the different scenes, transitions, and movements. - Refine every scene and create styleframes in illustrator - Get a voice-over done by a professional - Finding music that fits the tone of the video - Create an animatic, showcasing the general movement and timing - Animating the entire thing in After Effects, following the voice-over and music cues - Adding sound design in Premiere Pro for the surroundings, elements and so on Hope that makes sense 🔥
