Cute beagle surprised by snow

We had our first big snowfall of the season here in Chicago last night, about five inches. At first Oliver was a bit perturbed by all the new snow, but he soon got into it. Watch as he frolicks in the snow, steals my glove from me, and goes for a little run. For everyone in the midwest and northeastern United States, I hope you and your beagles enjoy the snow today!

@@crcr1 My dog is about 35 cm high, 14 years old and has never worn 'dog boots' or a jacket in his life. It's so unnecessary, and most dogs don't even like wearing them. It makes me cringe when I see people putting their dogs in jackets, and boots are even worse

@@laurasanchez7105 Boots protect their feet from corrosive salt on the ice, from blistering heat and from other dangers. Service dogs are fitted with boots as needed in emergency response. Veterinarians treat foot pad injuries on dogs all the time. Not sure why protecting a dog's feet would make you cringe. It's a caring thing to do. ^..^

Thirty years ago my Chicago puppy beagle greeted the snow with great baying joy. She was a 13" pocket beagle and was hopping around in a foot of snow. She had a similar display of pure glee when she was set loose in a Wisconsin campground. Her sniffing nose turned into hilarious grunts and snorts. Beagles never fail to amuse and entertain!

That's such a dapper coat. 😄 ETA: I just noticed it's a Carhartt, I didnt know they made pet stuff! That is so excellent; their stuff is _rugged._ The description of the coat on their website starts with: "Squirrels don't chase themselves." 😂 And "the signature corduroy collar keeps the look classic."
