They are cute, but the second time I watched the video, I tried not to read them - perhaps too many? - and just look at Oliver. Although the "sinking feeling" quip is hilarious! I'm wondering if Oliver might take to the water better a second time? Now that he's been? Although I'm sure his dads don't want to push Oliver into doing something he really doesn't want to do - this time, it was just trying to help him like the water, and the raft was a thoughtful insight. I thought Oliver was brave and thoughtful, too...and glad to be back on land with his ball. But another time, maybe? I understand that beagles don't naturally take to water, which is surprising. Our dog loved water (although hated baths) and would leap into streams nearby on a hot summer day. It was hard to get her to come home.

My 2 yr. old beagle must be a diva. If it's too hot, too cold, or too wet outside you'll find her under a comforter sound asleep. But kudo's to Oliver for his great sense of adventure.

My parents have a 12 year old female Beagle Dachshund cross and she absolutely loves being bathed she loves getting wet. They also used to have a female Beagle saint bernard cross who passed away aged 16 and you couldnt get her near water she absolutely hated it.

Oliver is so cute. He was trusting enough to step onto the float completely even if it was for a treat. Then he stood there for some floating and gliding, even though he looked frozen. His temperament is exceptional considering he didn’t really want to get out there and was happy to get off. Maybe he will enjoy the water someday with such gentleness and patience from his owner. I love watching him.
