Believe it or not, your reaction here is like a eulogy; SO spot-on and SO appropriate. Thanks so much, Brother, for your ministry. (And make no bones about it, what you’re doing here is a MINISTRY) … As for Olivia, this song and this album made its way into my home, via my older sister, when I was a little boy, and because of it I became a lifelong hopeless romantic … So to you, Olivia, and to all our beloved artists of that era, from the apostles & queens of Motown, to the singer-songwriters like John Denver to Jim Croce to Harry Chapin, THANK YOU FOR ALL THE LOVE & ART & MEANING to this life that you gave. God, through you all, gave color, hope and so much joy to our lives … As for you, dear sweet Olivia, we’ll see you on The Other Side 🌈 You are now & forever free, our songbird Sister.

I, finally, was able to see her in concert, August 28, 1982, during her Physical tour. I was front row, at the Richfield Coliseum, in Richfield, Ohio, and was able to give her a dozen roses, during the concert. I was 14 at the time. It was an early birthday present from my parents. It's a memory that I have always held close. Out of all the concert shirts (over a hundred), from the 80s, I had, her Physical Tour shirt is the only one that I still have to this day. My wife and I danced to Suddenly, as our first dance, after our wedding. Prayers go out to her Olivia's husband and daughter. Rest in peace Olivia Newton-John. You deserve it.
