Well to be fair, it hit the 106&Park Top 10 countdown quite a few times. It wasn't #1 but it would be like #8 or #9 a lot. But it did get slept on, I think the main reason is because of the chorus. The chorus should've been the last part of Banks verse, "From the telly to the club on a late night, box of mags bottle of Henn finna get right" etc the way he sung that part would've been perfect for the chorus.

na in that time Game was starting the G-Unot campaign so the group and the label was starting to fade away slowly
@TheMelody152 жыл бұрын
@@zeenon_sm I don't think so, Ashanti was dominating with her 2nd album during the height of G-Unit & Murder Inc beef. The problem is they should've went with a solo R&B ballad, showcase her as a songstress. Especially back in 05' alot of R&B ballads dominated charts, 50 didn't properly promote her as R&B singer, he should've kept a distinction between Olivia and G-Unit.

@mtdubdachamp6917 Жыл бұрын
I think they tried to give her the Ashanti treatment and it didn’t work.
@TheMelody15 Жыл бұрын
@mtdubdachamp6917 It seems more of a "Ciara" treatment than "Ashanti". And still, they missed the mark by debuting Olivia with a R&B/Rap single, should've been a solo R&B ballad to be safe (especially around 05').

Uuuuhhhh not really 🤔🤔🤔 this actually was around the time G-Unit as a WHOLE was in the process of falling off. After they began their feud with The Game in 2004 as well as with Jadakiss and Fat Joe, NOBODY in G-Unit (other than 50 cent) reached platinum status record wise again in their careers. This single debuted in early 2005, and IMO Olivia was trash, she looked nice but her voice was weak fr. Banks is the reason this song got spins.
