If Beale Street Could Talk was just amazing so I would probably say that although have loved heaps of these. Cemetery Boys I have read a few times and is a cosy read and perfect for Autumn. I feel like I never get bored of re-reading it. I hope you enjoy everything as you get to it ❤

Soooo many good books here that I can’t just mention one! But for the current season: Fingersmith, Jamaica Inn, October October, Legends and Lattes. If you have the time and want a book to make you gasp at the plot, Way of Kings. For the cosy, A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet and for all the feels, If Beale Street Could Talk! I already get anxiety from the size of my own physical TBR, so it's good to know that it could be worse😂But you have lots of interesting titles! I'll vote for Saga ^^ That one got me into reading comics and it's still one of my favourites. I love how the characters all have their flaws and you can sympathize with different sides.

I vote Tess of the D'Urbervilles - such an underrated, amazing, heartbreaking book; I haven't stopped thinking about it since I read it. Radio Silence is also a fave, and so many of these I haven't read but they look so good. And wow, what a lot of stunning covers!

I'm forever surprised it isn't more popular. The characters, the descriptions of nature and the complex exploration of misogyny are incredibly done! Although if you do end up picking it up, I would check out TWs, just so you're prepared. I had no idea going into it, and it's very heavy on misogyny, victim blaming etc. (while examining it in a critical way).

I need to go through my entire owned TBR soon! Maybe I'll do it for the new year! I thought the cover of The Man Who Was Thursday was tampons and I'm slightly disappointed it's not - I want to read the book that would get that cover haha! I was just coming to comment that so far I haven't read many of these but I have added a few to my wishlist purely from the cover and then More Than This popped up and so far that is my vote! I need to reread it - I wish I could read it for the first time, although when I did read it, I definitely think the fact I wasn't as experienced a reader and struggled with it for a bit (I nearly DNF'd!) made it that much better!! OH BUT LES MIS... except thats a wordsworth edition and if it's the Wilbour translation - RUNAWAY lol. It's from 1863 and a very literal translation so it loses Hugo's poetic style. I read ] the Norman Denny translation which was good but just recently listened to the Christine Donougher one which was excellent! I know some people are fine with that original translation, but I feel like if you're gonna read such a massive book, you may as well have the easier time reading it as well as getting as close to the true Hugo as you can lol. So basically, More Than This is still my vote lol

Ngaio Marsh is one I recently discovered right at the back of my TBR trolley and remembered it was supposed to be on me to arrange buddy reading the next book which i completely forgot to do and now it's been years... Sorryyyy!! 😅 My actual vote goes to Homegoing though because I read it last month and thought it was really masterful, compassionate and definitely one that will stay with me.
