Happy Birthday! I really enjoy your stories on instagram whenever you talk about movies you have watched so there's probably a lot more people enjoying both book and movie content than we think 😊

I love the idea of making any video you want for your birthday :- ) I thought there wouldn't be any I've watched but I have seen Sense and Sensibility at least :- D

Happy Birthday, Olivia!!! Love this sort of video so much--book reviewers are just good story reviewers so I'm thrilled to get your takes on some movies. I'm not the biggest watcher of movies just because I'm really picky about the ones I watch, so I am always looking for good things to add to my to-watch list. SUPER surprised to hear you hadn't watched Sense and Sensibility until last year! It's one of my favorite adaptations of an Austen story ever. I agree on Alan Rickman, though I'll have to rewatch the film to pin down why, because for me the disconnect happened because I was in the middle of my Harry Potter obsession when I saw S&S for the first time and I couldn't separate him from his role as Snape🤣 Ooooh what a treat to watch the Green Mile for the first time!! It's one that sits with you for a long time after. The death penalty has just been, er, "expanded" in the States and this movie has been on my mind since I found that out. RRR is phenomenal. No notes! W A I T Poor Things is a Frankenstein homage??? ....brb finding where I can watch it. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that my TBW list has grown after an Olivia Savannah video... Happy birthday once again and I hope 26 treats you so well!!!♥♥♥

if you're looking for a super quick show to watch, Season 4 of True Detective (Night Country) is phenomenal and one of the best depictions of what I'd call modern mythbuilding that I've seen. In the same way old folktales are rooted in the fears and preoccupations of our ancestors, so does Night Country take the modern problems of climate destruction, systemic racism, and misogyny and weave it into a story I'm going to be thinking about forever. Also all the female leads rule, they're terrible and wonderful and I love them so much. I just finished it and think your horror loving self would get along with it quite well.

Thank you so much! I know, I am the worst at watching film adaptions of classic books I adore. I need to up my game and watch more of my favourites. It breaks my heart to see some of the law system news coming out at the moment 💔 Yess someone also loves RRR. I am glad to have added Poor Things to your watch list 😇

The Iron Claw wasn't really on my radar, and then I kept hearing so many incredible reviews! Probably should watch it soon. omg SAW?! LOVE that it made it on this list! I adore that franchise, even if some later entries are...'not great', to say the least 😅 Ah, The Green Mile 💔an incredible movie I'm not sure I can watch again 🥲 oh I must watch RRR! this was so much fun to watch, thank you for sharing 🥰

I actually don’t know anyone who has seen Iron Claw around me other than my friend, so I would love to know what you think if you try it! Saw was so good 😱 I love the concept too much and I need a horror film like that in my life. The emotional impact of the Green mile is so high 😢 I hope you like RRR that’s one I recommend a lot!

Happy birthday for the other day! Shockingly, considering how much time I spend in the cinema and just generally watching films, I haven't see any of the ones you mentioned 😲 But, I did love Deadpool and Wolverine last year, as well as The Beekeeper and Quiet Place Day One!
@OliviasCatastrophe

And surprisingly despite the genre crossover, I have only watched deadpool and wolverine from your favourites! That was fun 😊

@@OliviasCatastrophe I loved that one so much I saw it 7 times in the cinema and then it was my final movie of 2024 at the clock struck midnight lol! You would love Quiet Place - it's such a unique take on alien invasion movies, and so cleverly done as the characters can't make noise! And you would love the Beekeeper as well, the action was very John Wick!

@ oh I should have mentioned - I have watched and really enjoyed a quiet place 1 and 2, I just haven’t watched day one! I remember seeing the trailers of the beekeeper and thinking I should watch it at some point but I think it hasn’t hit a streaming service I own yet…

I really want to watch Poor Things, because I also really like Emma Stone. I feel like I didn’t watch a lot last year. Just concentrating on something for a longer time was a bit hard. I love rewatching fave movies, because those don’t need my 100% attention.

I love Saw, but only the first one. It looks like that every next saw movie is worst than the previous.
