Mate, I have been watching your vids for years, but this one made me comment. I am too old to do this now but it was my favourite pastime when younger. 2 weeks off work every summer and couldn't wait to get on my small boat and head to Barrier, diving all day, living off reds, packhorse, scallops, paua, greenbone and the odd snapper. Smoked a lot of it up at smokehouse bay. Have dived in many parts of the Pacific, Aus and NZ, and Fiji was my favourite. I remember having a conference there, and after work, it was out beyond the reef every evening - just magic. I have lived in Auckland all my life and recognise all your dive spots, and love to relive my adventures through your footage. End of the day, sunsets, sunburn, cookup, a drink, remote anchorage, repeat.

I've been watching for years and I am finally starting to snorkel while armed. So if something eats me it's all your fault............. Actually I envision "Have you guys seen that skeleton in a wetsuit being dragged around by a 1,000 lbs Tuna for the last 5 years? What was that guy thinking?" Epic content and tips.

Sorry you didn’t get the beast you were after , could see how much it was eating at you., but it’s just gonna make it that much more special when it happens, how this video played out was awesome for me to see how God works and I saw him working on you, with the coming within a couple inches of a shot that would of landed the fish to not getting another chance having to walk around in basically a hurricane not “hunting “ but gathering . Only we can find the lesson Gods teaching when things don’t go our way. Safe travels, can’t wait to see the next chapter! 🤙🏼

What size double roller we’re you using on the wahoo & doggies ollie?
@olliecraig-primalpursuit Жыл бұрын
Hey mate 120 double roller in Fiji, Needed to tune the floppers more as was shooting low. Lesson learnt. Same gun with a single flopper shaft shooting straight vs double which was dropping 20cm at about 4meters

A lot of the stuff in that cookup looked very overcooked. I remember eating at a hāngī in the Cook Islands and it being bland, tough and dry, which is how that fish looked? I hope im completely wrong.
@olliecraig-primalpursuit Жыл бұрын
Not really, You would be surprised how fish cooked in the fire is protected with their scales etc. Smokey flavour then mixed with coconut milk is amazing
