I Bought A Track Bike: 2-Day Track Day at Cadwell Park

I hadn't ridden on the track for years and was craving some knee down so I bought a Honda CBR 600, went to Cadwell, and tried to remember how you ride one of these sports bike things.

If you haven't got it sorted, a worn out starter relay exhibits the same symptoms as you're having... Cheap to replace, too ;-)

Just came across your channel, this entire video was superb! I caught the track day bug last year and I am looking forward to doing at least 4 or 5 track days in 2024 including Cadwell. Don't have a track bike just yet, my R1 serves as a street and track bike at the moment. Can I ask how you managed to display the speed, lean angle and timing on your video? PS - Yes, egg curry is fantastic and easy to cook at home as well 🙂.

Egg Masala is for winners! 😂 Glad you enjoyed the vid - I’ve done a few more tracks since then and very quickly got up to my old speeds, if not quicker having now ridden off-road a lot (weirdly, it helps). For the filming I use a GoPro as it captures GPS data, then upload that into Race Chrono Pro which does all the telemetry, but actually edit the videos in Final Cut Pro. Hope that helps 🤟🏻

Ah nice! 💪🏻 Yeah it’s a cracking bike. You can see its age on the straights now as the more modern 600’s pull away, but I love it. Gives me more to do in the corners 😂
