As an English person who has worked and lived in China, I can say without watching the video that the main reason for this is because of the difference in skin colour between Olly and Drake. Racism in china is plentiful.

zipZIP Even using the word logic and trying to apply that to something to do with Chinese culture is a pitfall I’m afraid sir

zipZIP Chinese people are all for white skin, they use umbrellas when it’s sunny to stop themselves from getting darker. On the other hand their are many of the elder generation (over 55) who truely believe that people who are black are dirty and do not wash which is why their skin is black. They really believe this. You shouldn’t try to use ‘logic’ to explain the thoughts of people who are uneducated and who are barred from understanding what goes on outside of their own country by a government that blocks internet and education on certain subjects. Try learn about China if you lived there or knew anything about the topic you would understand but clearly you don’t 😆

It's not always necessarily due to racism. Racism in the everyday sense of believing one race to be superior to another. Do you hear or see many Chinese people shouting racist abuse at non-Chinese people in the street? Do you see any racially motivated attacks by Chinese people? When you have a country with over a billion people who all look roughly the same e.g. hair type and colour, eye shape and colour, height etc. seeing a black person or mixed race person is obviously going to arouse curiosity and yes a lot of people aren't going to want to make a point of interacting with those people, that doesn't mean all those 1 billion people believe their races to be inferior.
