There are always going to be people who are always going to complain about a bike not having enough power... personally, with the price of gas that's about to do a moonshot the smaller displacement engines are just going to make more sense. With that said the 650 is a fabulous platform and the gas mileage is not that bad with about 63 miles per gal (my current average gas mileage) so with a 3.6 gal tank you'll go about 200 miles before you need to stop for fuel. Overall, exciting times for the Royal Enfield lineup in 2023.

I've seen the bike today at EICMA show in Milan (Italy) and it really looks beautyful. I seated on the Supermeteor and I really had to force myself to go down to let it to other visitors. Super comfortable, it really makes you dream... sitting on that bike gives you the same emotions then an Indian or an Harley, but with that cool feeling that you can eventually buy one without selling one of your kidneys! I'm looking forward to see it on the roads and listening the engine in a test ride during the next months

If it's as comfortable as the Meteor 350 I'll probably get one. 2 models, 7 colorways. 2 colors on the Tourer and 5 for the Standard. The looks are bang on. And RE makes real bikes, not bikes that need to be electronicslly castrated so people can handle them. Wheelie control? Rain mode? Come on, part of the fun is to learn to ride competently in all conditions. And we need to buy bikes that suit our skill levels, and come of the marketing hype that manufacturers have pushed down our throats for so long now. And taken our money. RE has got this right and makes bikes for all kinds of people, just as it should be. This will be a winner, and a future classic!

Stoked for this. I already knew I’d buy one before they did the reveal. Like you said, they said everything I wanted to hear at the reveal. I’m a Brit bike fan and was always team Triumph. I got the 350 Meteor to learn on and I did finally get my Bonnie, but RE made a total convert out of me. I like my Triumph, but I think nearly all my future bikes will be RE (unless I win the lottery and can justify that Norton 961). I may have to wait to buy it until I move and get more garage space because I’m not trading my Bonnie and they can pull my 350 outta my cold, dead hands. The 650 didn’t replace what the 350 does for me. Plus, I love the single and it was my first bike and I’m sentimental. RE has great bikes and amazingly effective marketing; they pluck the heartstrings. They symbolize all the things about riding that mean the most to me; simple, wholesome, cruising - enjoying the ride. I don’t need a performance machine for that; I need a simple, reliable machine full of character and RE delivers on that every single time.

This is a dream bike now. Ever since I bought the thunderbird (what meteor used to be before the name change) I fell in love with the comfort of that bike as an Indian rider. Back then it used to be all metalic parts even on the mud guards. Very throaty and rumbly exhaust which is only slightly tamed in current gen meteors. The company used to offer the tyre upgrade to Michelin & Pirelli right from the showroom itself before you even take it out for delivery. I went for it and boy coming from the small street commuter bikes I felt such a huge difference in thunderbird it just didn't slip at any gravels at all! 650 cc is about the most I would ever need. We Indians will get it first but I'll still be too broke to afford one even when it launches here 😩

If you need to chop the power back its probably too powerful. If it does 100mile an hour you don't need more power simple as a pimple! Bigger bike, more gas, more chain stretch more cost of parts and more risk, cause if you have more you use it lol.

OMR, I CAN'T WAIT for the Super Meteor! While I love and enjoy my Meteor 350, there are times that I wish it had a bit more oomph, particularly riding the hills and mountains in my area. It would also be nice to be able to safely use the Interstates should the need arise; I don't ride the super slab unless I have to, but there are times when you have to, say to outrun bad weather chasing you down, or you want to get home before dark. In my area, deer are a problem (not to mention the traffic!), so I try to be home before dark. Anyway, the Super Meteor seems to offer what I'm looking for. Before I continue, let me say that, prior to the Meteor 350, I wasn't a cruiser guy. I liked the styling of some of the bikes, but I didn't care for what most cruisers represented; I didn't care for what they brought to the table. Cruisers, at least here in the US, are traditionally overweight, overpriced, ostentatious, and don't handle worth a damn. If you lean a Harley over more than a few degrees, you're dragging parts. Sorry, but when the road turns twisty, I still want to have fun! As an older guy, I no longer want the cramped, aggressive riding position of a sport bike or even a naked bike, but I want more handling than cruisers have traditionally offered. I also wanted something that didn't weigh half a ton and was difficult to manage, either. That was until the Meteor 350 came along. While it's a cruiserish bike, it doesn't have all the downfalls cruisers have traditionally had. Was it overweight? No, it' just heavy enough to provide stability and confidence, even on a windy day; moreover, that weight is down low, so the Meteor 350 feels lighter than it is, and it's easy to handle as a result. Was it overpriced? Oh, hell no! I was able to get mine out the door for under $6K. Does the Meteor handle? Oh yeah it does; I can lean it over far enough to scare myself! I can scare myself just like I used to on my ZRX1100 when it comes to lean angle. I think that the Super Meteor will offer the same. What I believe the market has needed for a long time is a sporty cruiser; it's needed a cruiser that's lighter than the typical cruiser, and it's needed a cruiser that is fun to ride when the road gets curvy. Few manufacturers have tried rolling out a sporty cruiser; the only one I know of in recent years is Hyosung's Avatar, which sported a 650cc liquid cooled v-twin similar to that on Suzuki's SV650 with similar performance. Unfortunately, Hyosung never gained traction in the US. Perhaps it was their timing? They launched their bikes here in the mid-late 2000s just before the financial crisis. That took out a lot of people and companies. Hyosung had the right idea, and I've been waiting for someone else to offer a sporty, fun cruiser. Royal Enfield has done that with the Super Meteor. I think that RE have another winner here; they've hit it out of the park YET AGAIN! Just when I think Royal Enfield can't possibly top themselves, they do. As they have done so often in recent years, Royal Enfield has found an overlooked and/or underserved market niche, and they've filled it. A sporty cruiser has long been an unfilled void in the motorcycle marketplace, and RE have filled that vacuum. Is it overweight? No, it's not. Will it be expensive? I doubt it, as Royal Enfield have always been about offering good bikes at a great value; while it'll cost more than their other 650s, I think you'll be able to get one OTD for less than $10K. Will it be a fun bike? With that frame, engine, and inverted forks, how could it NOT be fun?! Does the Super Meteor look good? Does a bear crap in the woods? I dare say that the Super Meteor will SHAKE UP the cruiser segment! The Super Meteor will redefine what a cruiser can and should be. I believe that there are many riders like me, riders who are hesitant to ride or own a cruiser because they haven't been fun, affordable bikes. With the Super Meteor, that has all changed. This bike will be the one to entice many older riders to try cruisers. The other motorcycle manufacturers, particularly those who focus on cruisers, had better LOOK OUT! If they're not careful, Royal Enfield will catch them up and blow their doors off! Royal Enfield have created another winner here, and people will take notice. Those are my thoughts... :)

As Indians we have always looked upto HD's as our dream cruisers since we first saw Arnold on it in the movie Terminator and it's interesting watching the other way round where the world awaits an Indian bike. Bullets used to be old crappy oil leaking metal boxes back in the days but the way Siddharth Lal has turned it around shows the passion in biking is still left. While every company is selling the specs sheet RE is doing it the Apple's way i.e. selling dreams. Though it is still far from selling bikes as big as the Harleys but they are on the right track. The price you are quoting is quite high there. It is predicted to be $4500 -$5000 here in India.

@@shankyrocking92 Great comment, but I also remember the AMF days of Harley Davidson bring oil leaking, rattling machines that were much to be desired by the average rider. I though, loved its quirks. Watch my video Sunday where I talk about bullets from 1948 to the new Classic 350s

@@OlManRonin sure man. I was eyeing for a Kawasaki Vulcan S for a long time now which costs about $8k here in India but kind misses out on the cruiser bit. Also poor network coverage of Kawasaki in India means a lot of problems in getting it serviced (the don't deal in my state) and on road no local mechanics would touch it if something goes wrong. Super meteor would solve the purpose as RE is present in every nook and cranny in India. Looking forward to owning the tourer real soon.

i must say i'm very interested in trying the super meteor when it arrives in the uk next year, i already have the interceptor and the meteor but the meteor is far better for me because of the riding position, i have a neck movement problem and though i have tried as far as i can to lift the bars to a suitable position for my problem on the interceptor i still get neck and shoulder ache so it may have to go next year in swap for the super meteor, depending on the price of course, i like the extra power and cruising speeds of the interceptor, it's a great bike and i hope the super meteor will be better for me as far as the riding position goes, we'll have to wait and see, thank you for another interesting video.

like all enfield bikes I find them a little heavy for their engine displacements. A big cruiser like the Yamaha XVS 950 with its 943cc air-cooled twin and 59.3 lb-ft of torque weighs 247kg or only 6kg more than the super meteor.. A Kawasaki Vulcan 650cc cruiser is around 225kg or 16kg lighter has 46.3 lb-ft of torque and the Super Meteor 38.6 lb-ft.

Looking for a air cooled engine bigger than 500cc with internal counter balances to correct the vibrations. This is definitely one I will be test riding. If I'm gonna go cruising I want a nice smooth ride. The RE Himalaya I already have for off road adventures, and with age its giving me better fuel economy everyday, currently at 31km's per litre as the engine loosens up.

Heh the reason I don't like cruisers is that I find them incredibly UNcomfortable over long rides. Having my legs out in front really REALLY hurts after about an hour. I've done 5 hour days on a cruisers, I was more uncomfortable than an 11 hour day on a mid control bike. I bought the cruiser out of curiosity, it was my only bike for about a year and a half, couldn't wait to get rid of it.
