Stationed in KBay in 1980, married a local girl from Awalai Street in Waipahu in 1981 and she exposed me to all this music....today as a NYC Firefighter I still respect and represent "The Aina" from C&K, Kalapana, Peter Moon, Country Comfort, Gabby, The brothers Caz and Hawaii....much aloha and mahalo for all the good times...

Traveled the world, been blessed having experienced many wonderful and beautiful places, full of wonderful and beautiful people and their unique cultures: through all my travels I often couldn't wait to return to home....my roots has always been home here in these Islands...It's hard to articulate how much you really appreciate our Island home until you've been away from it for some time. I love our Islands...I love it dearly, I thank God blessing us with an Island home. God bless you all.....

1972 moved to Hawaii Kai got a waitressing job at Chucks Steak House….Olomana were just starting out & would play there a couple of nights a week. Some of the best times of my life. Brings a tear to me eye each time I hear Ku’u Home O Kahalu’u🤙🏼

I am a haole boy from Utah. I worked about 3 years total in the pineapple plantations of Lanai and Maui when these songs came out.These take me right back there. I really miss Hawaii but will be going back to visit soon.

I too worked in the pine fields of Kunia, near Waipahu... my first job out of high school in the summer of 1960. I was the only haole among the crew of Filipinos and my hapa haole brudda' David M. I later worked as photographer in the tourist industry at Royal Hawaiian Hotel, working with my hula girl as she posed with the Luau participants. .

Was in Waikiki learning to surf for 3 months summer of 1976, saw these guys outdoors near U Hawaii I recall. Still enjoy this music along with Sonny, Gabby and so many others. Different vibe then but still good today.

kailua high school haole. grad 1973 but im real.im not an Actor. miss the beach. especially Hanauma Bay . and Kailua Beach. i used to walk Kahuku beach before Turtle Bay destroyed the aina. sad this group is gone.i saw them for free at the zoo in Honolulu 1977.excellent concert.
