Harry had a twinkle in his eye when you asked him if he was going to become a young farmer one day so I guess it won't be so long before he get's his drivers license and drives the tractor in the run in the near future. This was nice to see thanks for sharing. :) :)

Back in the 1960s tractor came in blue, grey or red and no cab, us Young Farmers were tougher then we even had to steer to keep a straight line. Hertfordshire YF put on a farm show, with tractor events cattle sheep and pig pens. We were sponsored by The Milk Marketing Board and Perry's the Ford Main Dealer plus a few others ??? A great day out and the monies raised went to help run the branch clubs in the county. I won the tractor/trailer reversing and my boss got me p-ss=d in the beer tent. Glad to see the YF still running and getting so much support, well done to all.

Great to see so many tractors,there use to be 5 farms in my local village each had a different make Ford Leyland International Muirhill and Zetor dont see any around now as the farms have closed down

My uncle had a brand new grey Fergie back in the mid 1950s, I started work on a dairy farm it was actually three farms run by two brothers, a fleet of 1 Fordson Major TVO cast iron rad grill with a steel seat on a spring mount comfort was by way of a folded sack. 11 Blue Fordson Majors again with steel seats, ran on diesel. Then the RR of the fleet was a Massey Ferguson 65 with a padded seat, all the cattle feed was grown in house so us drivers had a busy time.

Road runs are great fun whether it's vintage tractors, modern tractors, trucks or historic military vehicles , those tractors may have long bonnets compared to the 7.5tonner I am driving this week but they are a lot shorter😳

I have herd that tractor runs and ploughing matches are going to have to run on white diesel, not the usual red.. I would love to see a common sense, that charity tractor runs and ploughing matches to be exempt from white diesel, and run on red lower taxed fuel. White road diesel is now around £7.00 a UK gallon, and tractor runs could cost 80p to over £1 per mile to run, for a single tractor.

That Massey 8S is cracking looking machine! The gap between the bonnet and windscreen reduces the noise and vibration in the cab, ideal for listening to pop master. Get the cheque book out Richard! 😆

none, he was covid free by this time and had passed the lateral flow tests. He passed 2 clear test before attending
