In the 50's when hanging gates used to either weld a washer on top of hinge pin or drill a hole at the top of the pin and put a washer below and a cutter pin through the hole. This meant you could not lift gate off without tools. Keep up the good work.

Definitely with you on the BP meds as take 3 lots every morning as well. Did you have a gamma blood test Richard? We lost 21 dairy cattle a couple of weeks back due to gamma testing and we are only a small farm of just under a 100 cows (were) . Lost 10 outa a group of 12 yearling heifers that we’d had so much hope for future production. Lost 40% of the herd two years ago, months after starting dairying. TB is HARD ☹️. Real glad your test went well. Nice to se your helpers arrived to help after the fly tipping incident 👍

Can you access the fields through other fields on the farm. As in make gateways through the hedges. If so just dump mud with rebar on the middle so even if they try and go over the mud they will damage their vehicle. Oh and keep donkeys as apparently they keep tb away. That’s what they do down here in Pembs

That's pretty rough having someone unload a truck in the paddock like that. I live next to a swamp with access from the road which was good 4wding track but the council has put up a padlocked gate because of people dumping rubbish just like that in the entrance. Everything from mirrors, bricks, pot plants, and even half a car

To all farmers who are or have been under Tb restrictions. Please make sure you get the Apha to confirm receipt of your BT5 form. They’ve got a habit of not receiving them, Iv just done 2 clear short interval test and they wouldn’t lift restrictions even though I’d emailed and posted me BT5. Said they’d not received it. Be aware, Every days a school day😂.

Hopefully someone in your area can give informations about the dump. Local people probobly know about who have done a rebuilding lately. In Norway this is called " environment crime" and will be given hundreds of Pound fee if getting caught.

It's not that the police are not interested, they are limited to how they can deal with the offenders. They would sent them to court (if there is evidence to charge a suspect) the court would issue a silly little fine. The council on the other hand, their environmental dept,can issue heavy fines to individuals, into the £1000's and take the van used etc. They are far better equipped believe it or not, and have been given the powers to punish these scum bags which they will do. Hope you get the justice you and your helpers deserve for clearing up the mess left by these pond dwellers.
