This sequence is probably the most beautiful and the most exciting 10 minutes of any Olympics Opening Ceremony! "Citizens of the world, welcome to Athens!" "Olympic Games, welcome back home in Greece''

When the hundreds of “bouzoukia string instruments” kick in @5:12 with that melody…alongside the beating heart drums…shortly after the countdown & right after the EPIC welcoming words echoing through THE STADIUM…I just can’t help but LOSE IT…damn! As the stadium floor gets flooded by thousands of musicians…so am I…Reduced to a puddle of tears, overcome with HELLENIC PRIDE to the max and a head to toe sensation/feeling that is very hard to describe… EVERYTIME! It gets me without fail! SO POWERFUL!!!! Go Greeks! 🇬🇷 Go Greece! 🇬🇷

I feel bad for the people of France, they (and the world) deserved an opening ceremony worthy to remember, one that actually represents their history and culture, but instead we got whatever the fuck that was and it was so bad it got memory holed, meanwhile Greece, China, UK, just to mention previous host countries, they get to rewatch their ceremony whenever they want with a simple KZbin search

HACER LA CEREMONIA FUERA DEL ESTADIO ERA BUENA IDEA ROMPEDORA PERO EL RESULTADO (LA LLUVIA NO AYUDO ) Y EL CONTENIDO HAN SIDO PESIMOS

They did give an opening to remember... Celine Dion Gojira Laser Show Tribute to Notre Dame Masked Man First ever Flying Cauldron .....Contrary to what you think, it's more memorable thar any previous games just for its unique concepts.
