the rests shown vary from 2.5-$30, recurve rests vary from $2-90; I'm not sure either could be said to be close In price.

i'm new to recurves, so wanna ask "why doesn't anybody use compound blade rest for recurves, since some models are also within 4cm inside of the pivot point of the grip..?" 🤷🏻‍♂️

If the riser comes with 2 holes where to place the arrow rest ? Front or rear ?

So, as a trad shooter, who is thinking of trying something different..... I just dont get it. An Olympic riser costs 400, limbs another 400, but the parts that actually touch the arrow 50 - 12 and the whole range of that is used by top level shooters. Why are the damn risers and limbs so expensive?!

You definitely do not have to spend that much on an ILF riser and limbs, a good riser like the SF forged plus can be had around $150 and good limbs like the SF forged limbs or tradteck can be had around $100-$150. Now if your talking actual olympic level stuff, sure yea thats going to cost a lot because its top of the line. Almost any top of the line gear for any sport is going to cost a lot.

Look at the Samick Discovery ILF setup. Machined riser with limbs for under $400.

Because a lot more technology and research goes into limbs and risers? Rests are simple and there isnt really anything more that can be done with them, hence why some pros still use the plastic ones.

I did look at it. Wish that I was short enough to use one. 6’3” drawing 31” it’s not an option

there's less and less top level archers actually shooting with Hoyt SR's plastic rests, like he said you have to constantly replace them and that means re-adjusting every time you do that. At the 2016 Rio olympics, 90% of top archers were using Shibuya magnetic rests. As for the cost of risers and limbs, that's pretty simple, same as any other industry, exotic metals and carbon fiber cost more in R&D, material, and manufacturing than conventional materials.
