Yanhong's routine os perfect, my favorite. I prefere the bars closer, in my opinion movements were more creative, and there whete more transitions. Nowadays, the routines are too similar to men's bar.

i think i can answer natlie's question becasue it might be to dangerous when u do jumps and u dont want to hit the lower bar u could fall and is really dangerous

Polina Astakhova won in 1960 and 64 - she was from USSR. But this video only goes back to 1968.

All the times I watch Olga's exercize I can't believe she did not win the gold...I mean, Janz's one was great, but Olga's was simply amazing...instead she got the silver..could someone tell me what errors she made? Im not a gymnast, so I don't get it

hmmm...in 84 there was a tie for gold on both the beam and bars? interesting...there might have been a 3 way tie on bars had the soviets competed but shoulda/woulda/coulda statements are never productive sveta's dominance on bars from 95-2003 is just uncanny
