Hey gymnastics coach a die hard gym , and a Jordan Chiles fan of 11 years, here 👋🏾. Just want to provide some context on the Jordan Chiles situation. 1. The 2 Romanian athletes actually tied and one (Voinea) put in an inquiry, which was denied. She was allotted about 1:30sec to put an inquiry in. This put Barbosu into 3rd. 2. Jordan went last and only had 1 min. to submit hers because she was last. THEY ACCEPTED THE INQUIRY(this is pertinent info) 3. After Jordan won bronze, the Romanian government threw an online tantrum about the podium having all black athletes and it being some kind of conspiracy. This prompted a vicious racist online attack against Jordan from Romanians and Romanian gymnastics fans. 3. CAS (court of arbitration of sport) is the highest form of appeal you can go to for any sport. They had a famous Romanian gymnast (not an accredited official) launch an investigation with CAS ALTHOUGH THERES A RULE THAT SAYS YOU CANT INQUIRE ABOUT ANOTHER PERSONS SCORE. 4. CAS did a sketchy quickie investigation and didn’t even notify the US they were doing so, thus, not allowing Jordan a defense. 5. They ruled that the VERBAL inquiry was 4 seconds late. Mind you, if that was true, the judges accepted a late inquiry. They’re supposed to reject an inquiry if it’s after the allotted time. That’s 1000000% their fault. There’s other details as well. But it’s super disgusting and messy. Let me know if you guys have questions.

The Simone Biles difficulty chat is not new at all. There was a black figure skater in the 80s or early 90s who had moves banned cause they were too hard and potentially dangerous for others to try and she was heavily penalised if she did them. Story of our lives.

Yes backflip with a 1 leg landing!! Yes I feel so bad and it made me so mad I love to see her and I always am so proud of her with that clip where she knew it was quote unquote illegal to do the backflip. I think she thought anyone can do this and I will show you how. I don't think she thought people would dislike her moves😮. And to answer the question in why no one else represented Australia. I think she and her husband were on the board making decisions. This was horrible that this happened after the hip-hop anniversary. I kept thinking we shouldn't have open the door for these loonies to play in our face.

I don't know who remembers Surya Bonaly? But when I grew up I LOVED her and figure skating. She literally accomplished the impossible at the time, a backflip on ICE SKATES. She was the only one to do it ( and do it well) and they ended up penalizing her later for being able to do the move. The goalposts have always had wheels. 🙄 The game is rigged but we still excel. 🙌🏾

There is a lot of politics and injustice happening here. They way they are willing to let an injustice stand against Jordan Chile's is burning me up.
