His WR timing may be broken one day, but i'm pretty sure nobody will be able to achieve a similar dominance over a span of 3 consecutive olympics. When you see bolt lineup at the starting line, you already know he is going to win. You will never get that assurance from any other athlete.

The truly frightening thing is, during his peak 2008-2012, we probably never saw his absolute best. Insane with the times he posted, I know, but he was effectively running against himself for all of the world record runs. Imagine what time he could have posted if someone had been on his shoulder for 90% of the race. Personally I think he was capable of a 9.4x or a 19.0x if pushed.

@@Crippycooke He takes much longer strides so even though his legs move at the same speed he is 4 inches longer in the distance run. 4 inches over 40 strides in the 100 equates to 160 inches or 4.06 metres and this is why he wins. He needs the first quarter of the race to get into stride, the middle 50 he is in full stride and taking 4 inches of his opponants and then he kinda slows down in the last quarter. Over each quarter he is taking 1 full metre off the next fastest and why he wins by such a big margin.

His running form was so flawless. He didn't exert all his force from the start which prevented him from getting more hamstring injuries. He knew he was at least 30% faster then everybody else from 40 to 100m.

.. not really. He's a great athlete for sure but when he set the world record, he sure gave his best right up to the finish line. I'm not sure Usain could've broken his own WR that easily.

One day someone will break bolt's record but what will never be replicated is HOW bolt broke that 9.68 record, he slowed down and started celebrating BEFORE he reached the finish line and still somehow managed to set a new world record. He was one of the most tested athletes while ran. They wanted to make sure he was clean he tested so often he was afraid to take pain medication...so come with proof when you talking about doping!!! Let the man be..he is the greatest..ans left his mark..i hope someone else comes with that zeal and determination he has no matter what country they are from. Im watching the DOHA world champs now and its just not he same.

Well to be fair and objective, drug testing was not as advanced in the 2008 period and even to this day you have cheaters that get away with it It's just part of the sport, I say forget it just let everyone use them because they're going to find ways around them ANYWAY

It's entirely possible he could have blood doped and that his levels were just never never over the threshold. Most people who are caught blood doping are caught due to their levels being just a tad over the threshold.

That's a technique to save ur super nitro for last 25-30m , u cannot run with max speed all the time. Ex In 2016 100m Justin Gatlin dominated for 80m but bolt overtook him in last 20m

We may not know it or he had never got the chance up till now! Who knows!
