Nigeria was blessed to have the best defender in the history of Nigeria football. Uche Okechukwu was by far the most complete defender of his generation. He rarely committed fouls. He was calm and always timed his tackle. The only defender who missed out in signing for Barcelona, Rea Madrid, AC Milan, Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern Munich or Juventus. He was underrated!

Nigerian football team played and had been playing well in those years when factors like Bias, corruption, tribalism, Regionalism, and selfishness from the administratives and players were not in placed. The coaches on those days were not Nigerian so factors like bias, tribalism and Regionalism were minimal Administratives ( Nigerian) had less say for the team so corruption was minimized. Most players were not from one specific part of the nation so they played with their heart and for the nation. If Nigeria didn't consider these factors and make changes, then the team will continuously deteriorating and we will never be like the old Super eagle.
