RxgIaNt44 43 is kind of rough but you are starting out. Keep it at it bud, I am 5.7 and made it to state 2x with 1:04 in 100 breaststroke. The awesome thing about swimming is that the more you work (and this includes technique) the better you get. Good luck and always remember that girls in bathing suits are a lot better than a room full of sweaty guys : D

I don't know if you swim but I can give you some piece of advise. I am a person who started swimming seriously just a year ago and I was able to swim 200 meters before I die. Now I am able to swim for at least 2 straight ours or over 7 kilometers. The secret is in the pace. You need to try to start very slowly and then increase the tempo over time. Also I can do the same thing with medley. The secret is in the frequent training, slow pace and commitment. Good luck.

So many sour grapes here. You just believe what you want to believe. This Olympic achievement is irrelevant to those doping scandals he had later on. This year is the 10th anniversary of this achievement and this record still stands without any doubt from his urine sample back in 2012. WADA is not stupid. So just accept this achievement, ok? This record will be broken someday later and let’s also cheer then.

However, the substance he took is no longer on the banned substance list as of this year. “to clarify, under the current list, Trimetazidine is currently prohibited in-competition only until the end of 2014. For the 2015 List, you will see it has moved (to) section S.4.5.” Essentially, trimetazidine has been reclassified and downgraded. As of January 1, it will not be on the banned stimulant list.

@@elasticpotato2974 i thought it was 3 years and tbh the accusation was a bit fishy. The ppl checking his blood were not following protocol. Ur supposed to have 2 officials from the olympic committee but one of the ppl checking sun yang was not from the committee. Sun yang noticed this and asked to check his work card showing that he was part of the committee and naturally the person didnt have one. Sun yang called his lawyer and his lawyer told him to not let the “officials” take his blood sample. This part is kinda weird: sun yang told them not to use the blood sample, to destroy the sample and take a new one with actual officials there. He would not let them test it until there were 2 officials present. Pretty normal. Then i assume there was some conflict or smt because he destroyed the bag and obviously it seemed like he was hiding smt so he got banned for three years. He could’ve appealed but his lawyer is pretty bad so he didn’t tell sun yang about appealing.

Sheer poetry. NOTICE: He is not fighting harder/thrashing through the water more than the other swimmer. He is measured, and paced, taking longer, smoother strokes, with less splash on entry than the others. He is using a 2-beat kick almost all the way through. Reducing resistance = more velocity than propulsion alone. Streamlining folks!
@baraklevy3344

@mumpygumboo8554
@mumpygumboo8554 2 жыл бұрын
@@baraklevy3344 OK; it appears that you're correct. At the 8:00 mark he is using a two-beat kick, then we see much more four beat kicks. However, most of the kicks are light, almost like stabilizer kicks (with some propulsion), then two of them are stronger, to help turn the body most likely. Thanks for the clarification. Most of the kicks look like he's kicking once with one leg strongly, then two small kicks on the other side, followed by another strong kick, making a total of three kicks with one leg. Maybe this has something to do with balancing out the alternating breathing sides?
@baraklevy3344

@Fang Yuan Can you even read? I never said that olympics weren't political, they surely are. Why Russians were banned? Because they had a large scale cheating operation going on and that was their punishment. Notice how Russian athletes could continue though if they were cleared from doping charges. I know that he broke the blood sample, highly suspicious because if he had nothing to fear, why break it? He has been punished for doping in the past (using Trimetazidine in 2014) and has been banned (now rescinded). Interestingly, Chinese people continue to harrass Mark Horton who accused Sun Yang of doping and refused to take a picture with him. It is thought to be state-organised.... For the 2015 List, you will see it has moved (to) section S.4.5.” Essentially, trimetazidine has been reclassified and downgraded. As of January 1, it will not be on the banned stimulant list. And it is not performance enhancing SUN Yang did NOT cheat, it is the incompetence of the testing authorities who did not provide any credentials when collecting blood samples. Qiuyuan Chen Wat do you mean with that calculation it makes no sense at all to me? I think you want to say that he dont need to swim so many strokes becouse he is tall. But I still dont understan the calculation. Anyway Its about arm span and shoe size and not how tall the person is. But tall persons more often have a bigger shoe size and wider armspan and thats why the reason why the best swimmers often is tall. But even if you calculate that it still makes no sense becouse its also about the body position and stroke technique. That can affect the number of strokes a lot.
@QiuyuanChenRyan916
