Now I am able to swim for at least 2 straight ours or over 7 kilometers. The secret is in the pace. You need to try to start very slowly and then increase the tempo over time. Sheer poetry. NOTICE: He is not fighting harder/thrashing through the water more than the other swimmer. He is measured, and paced, taking longer, smoother strokes, with less splash on entry than the others. He is using a 2-beat kick almost all the way through. Reducing resistance = more velocity than propulsion alone. Streamlining folks!
@baraklevy33442 жыл бұрын
that's actually 4 beat kick...for most of the race
@mumpygumboo85542 жыл бұрын
@@baraklevy3344 OK; it appears that you're correct. At the 8:00 mark he is using a two-beat kick, then we see much more four beat kicks. However, most of the kicks are light, almost like stabilizer kicks (with some propulsion), then two of them are stronger, to help turn the body most likely. Thanks for the clarification. Most of the kicks look like he's kicking once with one leg strongly, then two small kicks on the other side, followed by another strong kick, making a total of three kicks with one leg. Maybe this has something to do with balancing out the alternating breathing sides?
@baraklevy33442 жыл бұрын

Sun had the perfect physique for the 1500m between the ages of 18 and 21. After 20, his bones gradually grew denser, and he packed on more muscle and body mass, driven by his genetic predisposition. There is no evidence Sun took that supplement before the Olympic Game in London 2012, much like there is no evidence Hackett, Thorpe, and Phelps took that supplement. Oh wait, Thorpe wore his tights that covers all his body, which decreases coefficient of friction which is malicious for only his wearing it and Sun's supplement was affirmed by WADA later. WADA is the top of medical science and sport science, and no body can challenge them. Nobody can say it is political negotion because even Russia with more political power was ejected off truck and field. @@elasticpotato2974 i thought it was 3 years and tbh the accusation was a bit fishy. The ppl checking his blood were not following protocol. Ur supposed to have 2 officials from the olympic committee but one of the ppl checking sun yang was not from the committee. Sun yang noticed this and asked to check his work card showing that he was part of the committee and naturally the person didnt have one. Sun yang called his lawyer and his lawyer told him to not let the “officials” take his blood sample. This part is kinda weird: sun yang told them not to use the blood sample, to destroy the sample and take a new one with actual officials there. He would not let them test it until there were 2 officials present. Pretty normal. Then i assume there was some conflict or smt because he destroyed the bag and obviously it seemed like he was hiding smt so he got banned for three years. He could’ve appealed but his lawyer is pretty bad so he didn’t tell sun yang about appealing.

@bransan979 жыл бұрын
Qiuyuan Chen Wat do you mean with that calculation it makes no sense at all to me? I think you want to say that he dont need to swim so many strokes becouse he is tall. But I still dont understan the calculation. Anyway Its about arm span and shoe size and not how tall the person is. But tall persons more often have a bigger shoe size and wider armspan and thats why the reason why the best swimmers often is tall. But even if you calculate that it still makes no sense becouse its also about the body position and stroke technique. That can affect the number of strokes a lot.
@QiuyuanChenRyan9169 жыл бұрын
The Arm span is almost equals or longer than body length which is common for swimmers. Thus each one of two stroke would give him a full body length of traveling or a bit more than that.

There’s 0 evident of him cheating, his results were all official and excuses were to be made on each of the two test failures. People are saying that he is a cheater with no evidence, just to save face and find reasons for their own athlete’s’ bad performance. Sun was one of the most tested athletes and it’s clear that its impossible to cheat on any world level competition. Sun Yang is the second most decorated swimmer of all time according to individual world titles, and he is the best freestyler in history. Maybe his personal behavior is not the greatest, but everyone should definitely be looking up to his swimming skills.
