Finally, someone who understands this. I am a great animal lover, esp. of horses. I have six rescue horses plus a trotter. But this extreme animal defense is really irritating. Do you think we can just stop using horses and other animals in racing, jumping, dressage, hobbies. They would just stop breeding them. So please think!
@kymprice013 жыл бұрын
I was on the fence, until I started reading the comments and taking at face value what the experts here have said that this isn’t animal abuse. I kind of compare it to training a dog. I am however unsure about the neck position, that really does look painful.

Let me point this out: this is a lustiano (hopefully i wrote this correct) and these horses have a thicker neck. The way the horse is walking is normal. His ears are relaxed so it must be trained correctly. I cannot say if it likes to do dressage only the horse can say that for himself. The only thing i have to say is that the bit is a bit rough for the horses mouth and that the horse drools a bit to much for my liking.
@axo98136 жыл бұрын
almost everything you said is correct i hope this gets more likes so people stop using this as a reason for it being 'abused.' the only thing i have to say is the horse salivating is absolutely fine, it means it's content, relaxed, and working hard, the more the better really.
@devfrancis76666 жыл бұрын
The horse has a double bridle, which is a requirement for FEI grand prix, and doesnt seem to have any problem in it, you can also see the minimal effort the rider is making with his hands through the bit of slack in his lower rein. we are taught from pretty much lesson 1 that it should be 80:20 seat and leg: hand, so when you have to use the upper level equiptment, you arent harming the horses mouth. Nobody can make it to this level without such discipline because it also affects ballance. Also, in dressage we like to see the mouth foaming because it looks like the horse is thinking and focused, so sometimes we put a bit of sugar on the bit. Anything happening in this video is FAR from abuse as the replying comment seems to think.

Natural Riding yeah I kinda agree there
@melissabayer82546 жыл бұрын
The horse drools because it cannot swallow, either because the nose band is too tight or pulling on the tongue too much. What about his tail? Lashing around most of the ride? The piaffe is not correct,, as his front feet come under, instead of his hind end dropping more. Hes more correct than most of the riders out there but not great

@@dominicweber I would definitely say no their Canter's and walks do not lack quality. This horses canter was a dressage canter just like any warmblood As for extension, yes it is harder. sorry? have you ever seen a horse in pain. They dont buck, kick or throw their riders. Horses in pain are SILENT AND QUIET. That is how they have evolved over millions of years, if they show pain in the wild, a predator can easily come and nab them, therefore they are masters at pain concealment. The few times horses buck at jumping shows and on cross country courses is beacuse the pain has become unbearable and they try to show people. PLEASE dont say that if the horse was hurting it it would protest. It wont. It never will.

For example if a little kid is on the back of a pony and they jab it in the mouth, the pony might do a small buck or pigroot. Basically there’s multiple reins coming from the horses mouth and the rider and the horse is taught let’s say when the rider drops a rein they know to do a certain move and if they tug the reins a little tighter they know to do a different one. The rider also may use feet movements where they might tap the horse and use the reins to signal another move. Hope this makes sense lol

It's so interesting to see how other countries' dressage horses are built!

The siberian horse is not breed for dressage but gets more and more attention through out the years, but most of the modern dressage horses are still the normal warmblood
