In Greece, recognition is only given to gold medals won by Chinese, Asian, Russian, African, Middle Eastern, and South American athletes in Athletics. There is a movement advocating for the return of the Olympic Games to Greece, asserting that this would restore the true spirit of the Olympics. The campaign also addresses broader social issues, such as ending violence against women and preventing the exploitation of women's sports competitions.
