Buďme si úprimný, 2/3 sme boli viac sparring partner než seriózny súper.... v prvej tretine nás Kanada nepustila k ničomu, dokonca by som povedal, že nás potopil prvý a potom ešte druhý gól úplne, dovtedy to ešte ako - tak šlo ... žiaľ Kanade vyšli takéto góly pred pred bránkou a rovno dva... Prvá tretina bola naša najhoršia na celom turnaji... Áno ak by to otočili, myslím, že by z toho bolo aj zlato. Škoda, že sme v SEMI nedostali skôr Američanov. Mali sme tam hviezdny tím skoro v maximálnej forme, chýbal už len Bondra (skončil 2009) a Pálffymu nevyšiel turnaj. V roku 2006 na OH hrali určite za mňa o málinko lepšie.

Práve proti nim máme tú bilanciu z tých TOP krajín najlepšiu...keby to Demitra trafil vtedy na 3:3 tých 10 sekúnd pred koncom a odjebali by sme Kanadu s , ktorou sme prehrávali 3:0 už a otočili by sme to na 3:4 v predlžení, tak by nás v ceste za zlatom už nezastavilo nič. Ani USA podľa mňa. Tí chalani by mali sebavedomie až vo vesmíre po tej prípadnej výhre. Verím, že v tom čase sme na nich mali na tomto turnaji a bola to veľká škoda. Hold to už sa nedozvieme nikdy ako by to dopadlo, ale aj striebro by bol pre našu krajinu obrovský úspech na takomto turnaji best on best. Každopádne ten zápas o bronz proti Fínsku to bola asi najťažšia prehra Slovenska v kolektívnych športoch. Viesť po 2 tretinách 3:1 a nakoniec to prejebať na 3:5....ťažko hľadám väčšie sklamanie. Rovnať sa tomu môže snáď iba porážka od Anglicka na EURE 2024 v osemfinále minútu pred koncom. Ale je pravda, že tam sme favoriti neboli. Tu proti Fínom tá šanca vtedy rozhodne bola na medailu a neboli sme vtedy proti nim taký outsider ako to je v súčasnosti.

You've posted that on other videos too. You're being too proud, and the stats of registered players mean nothing. Yes, Slovakia has good hockey players. Your country obviously have a good program that develops skilled players from a young age so they can compete. Any of the top hockey nations could put together one good team and be competitive, and sometimes beat Canada's best. It's one game. Hockey is like that. A hot goalie can make a difference, maybe bad calls by the ref, all kinds of factors. But I am glad Slovakia reached that level.That's what Canada wanted when they were selling the game to the world 50 years ago. The 70s showed us how great the Soviets became. But remember, Canada could put together 3 to 5 teams teams today that could play in the Olympics and have a shot at winning gold.

So Team Canada actually got swept? You know what the Swedish coach said about Matt Duchene when he playe din Frölunda HC during the lockout? He said he never seen a player slack so much as Duchene did. He just thought he would go over here and tear it up. Instead Duchene got mauled. Bring your Pens to Europe, that Clutch and Grab Canadian style kind of game doesn't work over here. 54% of all players in the NHL are Canadian 46% aren't. Canadian players have lower CAP-hits than Swedes.

By the way, who won the Calder Memorial Trophy 2012? Guess who, Gabriel Landeskog who also became the youngest captain in the NHL after Crosby by only months. It's true that Canada does outnumber Slovaks by far in players....so it's only natural for them to be the superior team. But I don't believe thats necesarrily the only reason for Canada's success in ice hockey. Playstyle, coaching, facilities, and other factors all add up. While I'm certain Canada's the best at hockey, I must say the Slovaks are pretty impressive for such a small country.

I rather have 48 good Swedish players with high CAP-hits in the NHL than 350 average Canadians. To be honest, there are no more than 50 Canadian players in the NHL that have talent out of the ordinary Crosby, Stamkos, Giroux, Letang, Seguin, Tavares etc. maybe 20 Swedes in the same category as those. You might want to ask yourself, why Canada with all that "talent" yet fail to develop good goalies? Goalies in Canada are a synonym with inconsitency or collapse. Especially in the WJC...
