Great review! Just one warning is that shutter priority and aperture priority are not a feature on this camera. Ken Rockwell shows why in his review and it’s related to the full auto mode programming.

That's one fine looking camera that has unfortunately passed me by. Looks great and the images are amazing. Sadly, since the pandemic my film photography has been on the back burner. Hopefully as things ease up I'll start getting further afield and start shooting film again. Now...I'm off to look at those 35 SP's!

Hi John hope your well mate? We are still on a field at the farm lol 4 months full time now. Yes I cant recommend this camera highly enough. Its basically what Fujifilm modelled their x100s off. I'm going to try developing film in the camper soon...see how that goes lol.

@@savedpurplecat Good luck with the developing. I discovered that colour is as easy as B&W. Its just that the temps are more critical with colour. You can now get combined developers and fixers from Cinestill which are much more temp tolerant and almost idiot proof. I haven't tried them yet but I will when I get back into it.

Great review of a lovely camera. I have a 35SP love it to bits, I should really use it more I'm never disappointed with the results It's featured a few times on my chan, but not for ages, I need to change that soon. Liked and subbed.

They're great. But anyone looking for one of these and having trouble with condition or price should look at the Konica Auto S2... You'll be glad you did. Where the Olympus are (IMO) overvalued, the Konicas are severely undervalued.

The big brother of the wonderful 35 RC. I have both, they’re so fun and cool, for a tenth the price of a Leica body.

I have one of these and it's an amazing shooter. It's a bit "light and flimsy" compared to my main shooter, a Canon 7, but is so much lighter and easier to carry. Does it shoot in both aperture and shutter priority though? According to the manual it shoots either full manual or full auto and you should not attempt to use it when just one of the controls is set to auto. You have any examples of shooting it in aperture priority?

Thanks for this...sorry if this info is wrong, ive used mine extensively over the past year with excellent results but now you've got me thinking about aperture and shutter priority, thought I had tested it in every configuration. Will have to get back to you on that when I next use a role. Thanks for your correction. :) Tim

I hope somebody can answer this. It has an A on both the aperture setting and shutter speed setting so it only makes sense if you can use only either or both (P mode).

@savedpurplecat 3 жыл бұрын
@@mylesdlm Hi Yeh if you set everything to A you are in full Auto and it works well :)

@@savedpurplecat what i mean is, is it possible to just set one dial to A and leave the other to be set manually? Aperture priority and shutter priority is what i mean.
@alanpods______8260
@alanpods______8260 3 жыл бұрын
@@mylesdlm The camera only shoots in 'full auto' mode with both dials set to 'A', or full metered manual mode - by lining up the exposure index numbers on the dials according to the meter needle. Nothing else is possible with this camera. Although it would be nice, the claims of 'aperture priority' and 'shutter priority' are completely wrong in this video.

How did you overcome the battery issue? Did you find the right adapter? Does it matter if the adapter does not reduce the voltage to what it should be? I'm about to get one but this one thing is holding me up.

I have one with the light meter not working, and with some basic exposure lessons I get on quite fine with this camera. I do shoot on Ilford XP2 super so it’s got a bit of latitude for errors.
