My Dad bought a new OM1n in 1980 and he gave me his Zenit EM. That is how I became interested in photography.

Never shot vista 200 ,but have some rolls ready for dev. Same goes for the kentmere . I like the look of the kentmere, so I might have to give it a try. The Om is a great system. Really enjoyed your vid .

Thanks. I find the Vista 200 works better in good light and I've had better results with Kentmere once I used standard developing times. Thanks for watching the video.

The Olympus om2n is a superb camera. I like your b & w photos the kentmere seems to be a good b & w film I will try it. At the moment I use Ilford xp2 very good film but more expensive.

Hey Howie. Nice photos, my man. Keep posting what you're getting from that OM2n. Developing woes regardless, they're looking good. Take care!

Thanks Kevin. Developing negatives is always a fun/interesting experience especially if you try something you've not done before. I'll be doing a similar video but with photographs from my Mamiya C220 soon. Thanks for looking.

Just snagged an OM-2n on eBay, looking forward to shooting with it. I'm not going to develop myself, but I will scan the negatives myself - what resolution are you scanning at? Are you happy with the results vs having a service do them professionally?
@mudgie0697 жыл бұрын
I usually scan at 4800 using my Epson V550 which is around the same resolution as a 16mp digital camera. My scanner definitely does a better job with black and white negatives and a decent job with colour negatives. I like to scan the negatives mainly because I have more control over the edits. I've found in the past when getting them serviced, the negatives I get back have been auto processed (auto tone, auto sharpening etc) which can lead to things like blown skies etc. Thanks for looking.

Hello Howie,really nice photos.I just bought an om2n.Can you tell me some things about the meter to prevent me ruining the first film?haha.It is accurate ir you need to play with the compensation dial?
@mudgie0697 жыл бұрын
LOST IN A FRAME the meter works well on my om2n. in difficult lighting i use manual mode and meter for the shadows. hope this helps 👍

OM-2n vs Minolta x-700?
@mudgie0696 жыл бұрын
Difficult one because I like them both. The OM-2N is smaller so it really comes down to if you like a smaller or slightly larger camera. If I had to choose I'd pick the OM-2N :)

Howie Mudge Photography understandable! I have an OM-10 which I really love. I just bought 2 x-700 bodies with 5 lenses for cheap. The OM-2n will be my next purchase.

I don't think you'll regret buying one, it's still one of my favourite cameras.
