all this is is a band trying to find god through musical performance,that to me is om's main appeal. every single show is them delving past the simple trampings of a rock show to let themselves and the people around them experience that one true feeling of zen. that one thread that connects each other,to let us unify and have our minds and souls experience one thing at the same time. these are true followers of faith. god is good.

I have this Pilgrimage t-shirt that I got at the thrift store with Hebrew writing on the back. I think it’s from the Israel tour, but I can’t read it.

Is this a song from one of their albums or was it improv? Love that bassline so much

This video in particular was uploaded exactly 11 years ago today. As a bassist, Al Cisneros' influence chains me to the will of the divine (& sometimes the demonic) to this very moment. Bhir Akeim salutes the godhead in vigilance, indeed.

Why is there a Enrique Iglesias video related to this?

This video does not capture the indescribable heaviness of OM. Hits to it. They were very, very special.

I wonder what else they played. Their entire discography to that point rounds out to about two and a half hours... Either way its mindblowing.

They may very well have been working on Advaitic Songs by this point already, even with Chris before he retired from music. Who knows...

anyone know what scales they use?
@monorady5 жыл бұрын
Phrygian. Like a regular minor scale but with a flat 2nd. Al also uses the double harmonic minor scale
