conner always rips pop culture to shreds and shows the rotten fungus and slime underneath. every character embodies a person whose entire life revolves around youtube shorts, instagram sigma male grindset memes, and snapchat news. i can't put into words the feeling his videos give me, but it's a perfect example of Theodore Adorno's criticism of the culture industry. capitalism already takes up our time through work, and takes even more of what's supposed to be our free time through manufactured entertainment [a great conner-related example being the times square joker thing he did during covid] truly, the best philosopher of our time

i'm literally not even joking, i was reading adorno recently and i was thinking the exact same thing 😂😂, like showing the deification and fetishization of 'brands' and how literally people under capitalism treat brands and commodity almost religiously, another explicit example being his video 'Outlet Mall Special Ops' kzbin.info/www/bejne/rn3ceImAdrljaKM i'm glad that other people are also seeing that conner's comedy is actually an important fucking work of art hahaha; i really think his videos can be described as what adorno described in his essay 'on committment' as 'autonomous' art that becomes its own animal to sincerely create new values, as opposed to an explicitly 'committed' art that simply reacts to existing social structures and not necessarily creates.

I was part of the Walgreens Defense Force unit that extracted the rebranded Mickey Mouse from Disney World. It was a close call at the start, the transport choppers came under heavy fire from enemy anti-aircraft guns on the heights and we had to go back and wait for the Panera Bread Tactical Air Command to take out the guns with JDAMs. But thankfully it was smooth sailing from there, we had the Mickey Mouse in the chopper just 23 minutes later and we were out with only 3 friendly casualties. I’m glad to have been part of the team that saved a national hero’s life.
