At the North Sea Jazz Festival 2012, Omar Hakim played with the all star line-up band Miles Smiles (ao Robben Ford and Joey DeFrancesco).
Later that day he did a clinic for a selected audience at the same festival. Check out his drum solo after getting on the small stage.

I was just listening to Giorgio by Moroder by Daft Punk with headphones on, and thinking "wow this drumming is just fantastic" and "no way this is a drum machine unless it's the best drum machine programming in history by a genius who spent years on it", and it wasn't. Quick google and it was this guy :)

If it is what I think it is--a Yamaha Club Custom (the most recent version with that name)--then the shells are made of kapur. Those were great drums, but unfortunately now discontinued. Odd that Omar, being a Pearl guy, would be allowed to be seen playing a Yamaha in a public setting. I thought most companies were pretty strict about that. Perhaps when you're Omar, and you've been with Pearl forever, you can pretty much do what you want.
