Soap & Clay is a family owned business operating in Washington State, but started out online thanks to Mrs. Soap & Clay's kickass brother and his amazing web design skills. The business was started as a tribute to Mrs. Soap & Clay's grandmother, the OG maker in the family that cultivated everyone's love for the DIY life. The studio/retail shop opened in 2017 on 6th Ave in Tacoma, and immediately began teaching soap, bath bomb, lotion, and scrub classes to the makers and maker enthusiasts of the PNW. I think after you achieve 10k subscribers consistently climb from there and have steady views from the same subscribers, you win the prize of sponsorships!!! Yeah! I've kinda kept track when my channels have achieved sponsorship and your there baby. I'd chose carefully though. Things like Skill Share, and things pertaining to make soap, labels, etc. Are great, just don't get in the weeds would be my advice. Amethyst soap, yes, beautiful! I love the scent of Palo Santos. My calming stone is Amethyst and my happy stone is Rose Quartz. I really have an attraction to Turquoise too. Maybe the last one is because I love Western wear and it's kind of a thing. Got off soap again, I think we would be good friends as we both get off topic, lol! The whole collection turned out awesome!!! You did such a great job doing fall without it being boring! I got my Animal Crossing soaps yesterday and they smell sooo good! Even the cucumber mellon... and I'm not huge on that scent was it is super nice! I may have to get a few more before you take them off your site! The fall line is gorgeous too!!

Yea please on the deep dive on the price deal, because us small business’s won’t be able to afford to stay afloat… even the price of fragrance is up, like really $4.00 for an ounce ?? What if we don’t want to buy 16 oz of a scent, but we would like to smell said fragrance…. ???

Prices for everything have skyrocketed over the past year and a half. Seriously. It all ties into supply chain issues. I'll give you a random example. I've been working on a project, ran out of purple spray paint and needed more to do some touch-up. Holy shit, a can that would cost me less than $5 pre-pandemic and that I would have found in any store that sold spray paint is now $20+ and hard to find.

Supply is a big thing, and covid et al. This summer, when we were finally approved for our addition, lumber prices went up from like $10 for a sheet of osb to FREAKING 80 DOLL HAIRS. What the actual.

Hombre is moving tints from light to dark. Image the hair color treatment with blonde on the bottom.. ends. And dark roots. In the pan the bottom has the least color and we add until dark. Blonde with dark roots. Will that stick as a metaphor?

I would love to know why the prices have gone up. I have needing to place an order and I’m not pleased. Even citric acid. Everything! It’s crazy!!! Please deep dive on that because I don’t want to hear about oh, inflation, blah blah blah! I have things sitting in my carts and I haven’t ordered because I was getting mad. Lol! I'm here for all the deep dives! also, Ombre is one color going from light to dark, ie light purple into dark purple. A gradient is when one color blends into one or more other colors, ie purple into blue into green.

In Germany I pay 10.50€ for 1 kilo melt&pour, I'm thinking of making my own just to control what goes in. But the price seems pretty ok to me, so I'm unsure

I found this. Not sure if it is entirely accurate, but may be helpful Ombre vs gradient. Gradients A gradient is when one colour blends with one or more different colours. Eg: Pink to blue. Green to orange. Red to black. Purple to pink to orange. Ombre An ombre uses colours from the same colour family. Eg: Blues. Greys. Reds. Ombre Gradients. Where a gradient uses colours from the same colour family. Eg: Pinks to blues. Greens to oranges. Reds to shades of black. Purples to pinks to oranges. I have been curious, so now I know also. :)

Actually, thinking about it, it is probably a gradient because you started with the base without any of the purple. That makes sense. If you had started with the lightest purple first it would be an ombre. Hmmm... my head may implode. LOL

That is so funny! My son own a floral company and has a KZbin channel and oh my god he alway gets asked to sponsor all kinds of things also. He just picks and chooses what he wants to sponsor, so my advice if you want it is to pick only the ones to appeal to you and forget the rest. Your channel is amazing and I think you deserve to get sponsorships

Did you recently pass 10,000 subscribers? I have no idea, just guessing because I have been seeing ads on your videos - I don't know if it's recent or not because I really don't pay attention to ads. Ads, to me, seem extremely random and don't have anything to do with me or my life. Also, I'm an ad ignorer, unless it's pizza on Friday night lol.
