There are also test plugs with a wing nut on it look like a freeze plug or boiler plug test plug and they would work also they go from inch and a quarter inch and a half to in inside diameter of the pipe but the pneumatic ones are fairly small and you inflate them so it would be various fit various size openings.

Just apply the test air at the oil drain plug or vent hole.

For pressure testing if you go to a plumbing supply house they have different sized pneumatic test balls for blocking off different size inside diameter pipes they're inflatable the maiden neoprene could stick one down into the fixture and blow it up and then put your air test on you won't need all those different made up tools to cap off a block off to get the air test on their pneumatic test balls for plumbing
