hey man good input in what u are doing. can i make a suggestion get urself a camera stand so u dont have to hold it and miss what u doing. i got it but not many others will thats why peeps watch youtube lol. just got towed in off water tonight and we lost complete drive. we had a vibration and just boom dead in the water and i hope i can fix this myself. good video input.

How do you know when bearings go bad? What kind of problems and symptoms will this bearing cause?

A bad bearing will usually cause a humming or whining sound! If a bearing is going bad then most likely it will be putting pieces of metal in your drive fluid! If you are going to replace your bearings do not go to the Marina, You can get those bearings at a auto parts store! My OMC cobra was all original and when I disassembled the unit I noticed that it had Timken bearings, So I took the part numbers off of the bearings and the races and went to my supplier and purchased them through him! There is absolutely no difference when it comes to those bearings, And you will end up saving hundreds of dollars! Don’t believe me just call Timken they’ll tell you those bearings are the exact same! You can’t have the same part number and different parts, Do not try and replace anything else on your boat with parts purchased at an automotive store, Nothing else is interchangeable between automotive and marine!

What is the nylon bushing it goes threw called.How do I install a new one and where can I get one.lol Please dont make me come to Canada lol I have a passport but its a long drive.Help me Cole...lol

Hello Wayne, I just got news that the tip of the water pump shaft with key shaped end may be pressed on to the shaft instead of it it being an entire solid piece. Is that true? Another mechanic has found the pump shaft tip "slipping" when testing it by trying to turn the pump shaft directly without testing it by cranking the engine. He fixed it with some press in pinch adhesive around the pump shaft tip. Is this true?

you ramble on and on about pointless stuff... just show how to do it without talkin about so much pointless stuff like someone breaking off ur carbide bit, u spent 5 minutes talking about the width of the bolt holes in ur work bench etc... way way way too much useless and pointless information. just want to learn the steps of dissasembly
