This is amazing. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It's going to save me sooo much time and gives me the confidence to rip my leg off and get going.

Great video! Thanks! Just what I needed to see. The shift cables were what I was worrying about the most. This is magic. Super appreciate it.

Was about ready to scrap my ol boat, till i found your channel. We'll see how this goes. Steering cables next.

@@coyoteodie4458 cables are the only tricky part. I think it was Sierra. I got my gasket from don’t be shy with a silicone, put it in every hole and make sure that thing sealed because you don’t wanna go back in again.

@percyconnolly thank you. I had to put a new inside clamp on the boot 2 years ago. I'm not sure I got the correct one. Was basically a very large hose clamp. The boot looked good at that time. Didn't get the chance to use the boat last year. And this year, the boot is rotted clear through. I'll take any advice you have. Going to watch all your videos.

How did you remove the transom?

Never supposed to use silicone RTV for this application. The OMC manual explicitly mentions this. Silicone RTV will dissolve in the presence of gasoline.
