I attended the first show April 22nd in Orlando. For those of you who were at the Greek, fear not: you got the same high-energy, gorgeous, exuberant performance from OMD we did. Hands down the best concert I have ever been to!

Sounds so perfect - getting chills here - i saw them about a month ago in Denver colorado at the paramount theater - i was working in the theater in a security i guess you could call it, but i gotta tell you, I was going more crazy than anybody else i could see in the audience, and they were all going nuts..never seen so many true fans in a concert BUT I was the number one fan in there because I was going more crazy than anybody haha...i've been a massive fan since junior high school, and i am now just about to turn 46 years old..best concert ever - even better than the depeche mode concerts i've been to, and until OMD concert, DM was my number one concert - i was right near the stage and kept waving to andy - he didn't acknowledge me except for one time, i could be mistaken, but i think he started to wave back and looking at me - but it was half wave before he looked the other way and sipped a water bottle hahaha ...i take back every negative thing i've said in recent months about how andy doesn't sound the same, it was absolutely mind blowing...

Thanks for posting this. There is not a single track from OMD that is not a classic. Loved them in the early 80's but funds didn't allow me to see them live. Now I am grown up I've seen them twice as a band and once in a podcast interview at the British Library. Whilst most attention is given to Paul Humphries and Andy McCluskey, Stuart Kershaw and Martin Cooper are maybe the unsung stalwarts of OMD. Tight sounds with an infectious frontman who whilst in the limelight acknowledges the rest of the band. Please come back to the Scout Hut in Bath!!!

Saw them just last night in the Ulster Hall in Belfast, just going to say this, if you want value for your money, then OMD is the band to see live. The energy Andy creates with the audience is mesmerising, and the music is top drawer. Best band around. ❤️👍

People in LA had it much easier in the early 80's finding and listening to new wave music, having a great and supportive radio station (KROQ). Those of us in markets like Detroit had to work a lot harder, obtain magazines, make friends with DJs, go to record stores in college towns, etc to find this music!
@robdisner2 жыл бұрын
So very true. But that was why we valued music more. Had to work to find it!

I saw them at Universal Amphitheater w/ Thompson Twins, and again in '88 Rose Bowl w/ Depeche Mode. We got into Rose Bowl by donating cans of food🎶 Funny how they are lined up like Kraftwerk after Time Zones and during Statues. Guess that is because they wanted to be like them🤔🎶
