This is good stuff. Thanks. I have my father's 1943 Universal Geneve, a gift to him from his mother that year. The case is chrome on brass. I removed the junky Spiedel bracelet he had on there and intend to give it a light cleaning using brush and toothpick as you did here. But the case is rough with flaking chrome, green crud and scratched crystal. Suggestions? I do not want to restore the watch but rather keep its vintage patina. BTW it works fine. I just had a watch repair shop replace the stem and crown. The stem was broken and the crown too large for the watch anyway. Thanks! DP

What a pair! I would put the vintage bracelet back on and rock that thing. The brown leather pad was a nice touch.

I don't usually like gold-plated bracelets, and this one is not original, but I must admit that looks good with the watch, it locates it in its time: I imagine it on the wrist of a "Goodfella" from Brooklyn who also wears an Italian cut suit and suede shoes. Forget about it! XD

Let me get this straight. It's an Omega Seamaster and it's not waterproof, wtf??? Shouldn't it be called a Seemaster??? I'll stick with my 1960's Timex, it's gold and not waterproof. Or, my 1930's Rolex Oyster which is waterproof.
