OMG! Great work. I have this exact model & movement. It was passed to me by its original owner. It's fascinating to see its inner secrets. Thank you. I need an additional 18k link, so I can more comfortably get my hand inside the bracelet. Is that something you might have a stock of? I'd also be interested to know how much you would charge for a full service like this? My understanding is that it has never been serviced. It keeps pretty good time, but it's a big ask, for a mechanical watch, to have gone over 50 years without servicing.
@JG191711 ай бұрын
so does this watch do, amazing works and keeping the time unbelievably accurate before i service it.. impressed by these genius watchmaker and their wisdom to create all these mechanism watches even a century before. i guess that's the charm of mechanical watches. for the watch links maybe you can try your luck on eBay, you can probably find one. and i suggest you send your watch to a local watch shop or authorise watch service centre for a proper service :) because i think we are apart from one to another side of this world hehe 😆 least, with you have a good one and your watch too cheers 👍🏻

Hello sir how you opened the backcase of it? The crown comes out when remove the screws?
@JG1917 Жыл бұрын
four screw attached wish the back-case. all you need to do are just unscrew them :) for the crown just need to pull it out. it engage with a clip, need some force

Great video. The case looks great clean but I felt the patina was fantastic. I would have maybe smoothed out that one really bad scar but that's about it. I would have left it. That's a really nice looking watch. I feel like a bracelet would have really brought it together. Something off about the strap.

Amazing video just bought an omega constellation quartz 30mm can't wait to receive it, it's working should I get it serviced or no and how to know which caliber it is , I'm new to this hobby thanks
@JG19173 жыл бұрын
hello my friend :) usually we identify the caliber on the movement itself which meant you need to remove the case back and expose the movement. or else you could search trough the internet for your watch model to find out the caliber it use. if it is a quartz movement, i believe it nothing much to services if everything is working fine :) perhaps lube the train wheels/bridge or the keyless work(the crown stem use to adjust day/date and setting time. otherwise, admire at the movement and the watch itself :D it must have beautiful dial and polished/enjoyable caliber cheers mate

Witaj szukam takiego modelu omegi czy twoim zdaniem jest to zegarek godny polecenia ? Na co zwrócić uwagę ?
@sambino17362 жыл бұрын
Many thanks for this very interesting video. My I ask how do you remove the crown and the stem from the body. It looks pretty simple in the video but not that simple in real life 🙂
@JG19172 жыл бұрын
it is a split stem and crown design. so basically the crown and the stem are just clamp together, so give a moderated force pull the crown horizontally to avoid unnecessary damage, the crown should be come out perfectly :)

how long should an omega constelation the same as this one run if its fully wound and you put it on the table on side of your bed
@JG19172 жыл бұрын
According to data, it do reserved a 42hrs power to keep the watch running :) but surely depending on the movement conditions especially this kind of vintage timepiece :D

Did omega ever make a watch with a fractured face? The watch is from the 1950s. It’s a constellation and the face is black. I wish I could send you a picture, but I don’t know Al.
