You and me both. I saw the Seamaster Pierce Brosnan wore in Goldeneye and I fell in love immediately. My grandfather got into watches for the same reason. It was Bond! My grandfather fell in love with Rolex and watches as a whole because Sean Connery wore one as Bond.

I had to watch this video since I am waiting for mine to come back from service. Just gotta love this watch. I bought mine in 2008, a few months before relocating to China for some years. And it served me well so far. It went everywhere with me: to the summits of the yellow mountains, into the vibrant nightlife of Shanghai and Hong Kong, into the depths of the Red Sea where I learnt how to dive and it even was on my wrist when I wore a tuxedo. Truly a James Bond watch and if it is good enough for him it is good enough for me.

That is awesome! I love mine as well even more so than the newer ones. I feel exactly the same as you, it is truly a do it all kind of watch as it fits every setting perfectly

@@watchyoulove The newer ones are really nice, especially the ones with green and white dial. But they are a lot bulkier than the former models and won't slip under a shirt cuff as easily. Even the bracelet is thicker and heavier. In my opinion that makes the new SMP less versatile than the older ones. This is one important reason why I would never give away my 2220.80. Last week I got it back from service and it looks stunning. 😊

Great video. Love the faded bezel. Just picked up the quartz version 2221.80 and would love to make sure it's waterproof. Did you have this done? If yes would you happen to know the parts numbers for the seals?

I have not had it done but next time you get it serviced by Omega or anyone else that is usually part of the servicing.

@@watchyoulove Had it done at a local watch store in an hour. Battery change, seals checked and pressure checked. And very inexpensive

Most jewelers carry them, I suggest asking around your local and if all else fails there's always ordering them the secondary market as jewelers/ex jewelers are always selling them. The good ones are always branded.

Little high but they’re hovering around 3k. If with box papers and, hopefully, a service, you’re likely in the ballpark.

@@terencetan7798 Sometimes watchmakers mark the caseback but it’s not guaranteed. There’s really no way to know. Have a watchmaker test amplitude or test the power reserve, manual to get the “feel” and the timekeeping yourself for an idea as to condition of the movement.
