HachiZenki I was beating around the buss on this one as I re read it. I was actually going to trade it for a DJ plus some cash, but I think you just solidified my answer!

Hi Jason, this resale if purchased pre-owned and sold privately is robust. Omega purchases new vs. Rolex... yes, Rolex always wins the resale stakes. But once a watch takes its initial depreciation hit, it usually finds a set point in there market and treads water. Naturally, you'll get less if you sell to a dealer, but the dealer (cards on the table: we're pre-owned dealer) will offer trade opportunities and consignment options that a private sale wouldn't (and more security- that's big). Ultimately, these SMP 300s are pretty solid watches at resale time. The more elaborate Planet Oceans and Aqua Terras seem to lose a bit more - as a percentage - in the drop from boutique to secondary markets. Best, Tim
