I don't think you'll ever realise how much your video helped my first luxury watch purchase. I really wanted a Seamaster but didn't like the point clasp but seeing your video let me know Omega has an option for that!! I called my local store and will pick up my watch very soon with the clasp upgrade which cost $300 CAD. Thanks again!

Huge difference between the deployant clasp and the tang. You should check out Artem Straps when you get a chance. They make very high quality luxury straps and buckles cheaper than you can get from the brands. Thanks for the comment. Please consider subscribing to check out the other watches in my collection.

This is my everyday watch. Id recommend getting the mesh to dress up the watch. Such a fun watch on the rubber/deployant clasp. My speedy doesnt get any wrist time. The chrome is dynamic.

no grip on that bezel. luckily hardly anyone actually uses one to dive these days.
@WristwatchDeepDive4 ай бұрын
Totally agree. Many dive watches have a bezel that is much easier to grip than the seamster. You're right in that it is not much of an issue unless you actually use the bezel for diving operations. I will say that gripping this bezel is not easy without gloves but it is going to be even tougher with neoprene gloves on. Thanks for the comment! Please keep checking my channel for more posts. I'll be highlighting a different watch from my collection every week. I'd post more than once a week but I wanted to drag the content out a bit so I do not run outta watches from my collection to highlight. :)

If you're going to not use the bezel why not get an aqua terra?
@WristwatchDeepDive3 ай бұрын
@@psdelport8893 I like the aqua terra but I think I went with the seamaster because the dive bezel is at least there. I own 2 omegas. This one and a speedmaster. I actually prefer the speedy over this watch. Please check out the other videos on the channel. I created this to spare my family from all the "boring watch talk" and to just talk about my rather large watch collection/ obsession. Thanks for the comment.

I just discovered your channel and I'm ripping through your reviews. I like your observations! I"m thinking about getting this watch and I'm torn between the chrome and blue dials. Why did you pick chrome? Any regrets? Great review, thanks!
@WristwatchDeepDive2 ай бұрын
I love the blue dial too but I went with the chrome because I didn't want to have an entire collection of blue dialed watches and at the time I was buying more blue dialed watches. So I was trying to mix it up a bit. Of course with the blue dive bezel it still has a blue theme. I like the contrast between the blue and chrome too. Love this watch. I have dozens of watches from dozens of brands but I find this watch gets more wrist time than most. So no regrets. You can't really go wrong with Omega. Great brand with tons of history.

I wish I could have one but I'm poor and can't have one but I'm still going to get a plastic watch 😢

Thanks for the comment! Keep checking the channel. I have a ton of more affordable Swiss luxury watches in my collection that I highlight. I am about to post my video on my Gevril watch now which is a great watch and can be found for a great price on the grey market.

Shouldn't this watch come in the big, wooden box?
@WristwatchDeepDive4 ай бұрын
No. Funny story. When I bought this watch at that unusual boutique in Tokyo they actually brought out the wooden box but when we checked the serial number on the box against the watch and we found the wooden box was for the Speedmaster. This was the box that had the matching serial number on the sticker. I do have the large wooden box for my Speedy. Not the biggest fan of the box that came with the SeaMaster but it is correct.
@jamess81754 ай бұрын
@WristwatchDeepDive Hmm.. In Asia, all Omegas come in the big, wooden box. Even all other KZbin videos feature the wooden box, too, including those in Europe and USA.
@WristwatchDeepDive4 ай бұрын
@@jamess8175 That's interesting. I purchased this watch in Tokyo back in August of 2023. They had plenty of the wooden and these style boxes behind the counter. The serial number on the box matched the one on the card and watch so I am certain I have the correct box. I'm sure that AD's have given wooden boxes to customers that asked for it. The wooden boxes are a little nicer in my opinion. But I wanted the box it was meant to be sold with. In my experience buying watches from multiple AD's stateside, in Europe, and Asia, I find they are pretty liberal with whatever box the customer wants. The only time I've see strict adherence to box selection from an AD are for the holy trinity watches and Rolex. Boxes and papers are important but I've found widely different boxes being sold for different brands. Safe to say that if you buy new/ unworn from an AD it doesn't really matter what box they put it in because it is all authentic. I purchased a RADO in Switzerland and they gave me a choice of boxes to put it in.

I have that exact Watch (Same color dial) and purchased mine in the Omega Boutique in Atlanta, USA on the bracelet and they threw in that same blue rubber band. I just paid for the buckle that's on that rubber band. Mine came in the Big wooden box that had a red smaller travel case hidden inside the big box.

@@tyranelewis7763 I actually bought the band in the video from the Omega boutique in New York because I have such a small wrist that I needed the shorter band. I put the deployment clasp on it from Omega too. The bands are crazy expensive but worth it I think because of the fit. I still have the original blue normal size band with the tang on it. Thanks for the comment.

How much did you pay for that?
@WristwatchDeepDive4 ай бұрын
I paid retail from a boutique in Tokyo Japan. So I was able to save on sales tax but they still got me coming back into the country with customs.
