A quick note: a call to AP confirmed that the Code ALSO uses aventurine glass, but the mix of metallic elements is higher, and they are larger in size than those used in the Moser, hence the contrast of appearance despite similar construction. Enjoy! Best, Tim

The Omega Speedmaster 50th Anniversary is a fantastic piece. It was not the rush at the AD when it was released because photos do not do justice to the watch, but when people realised it, it was too late. The price didn't sky rocketed since... not yet.

Good morning Tim! I really like that Moser Center Second best of all the Mosers you've got. It's an original design (not another Genta homage ) but combines high style with functionality (you can read the time), sort of like the Bulgari Octos. My only suggestion would be a blue dial. That TAG Heuer Super Ocean looks really right to me too in a more affordable package .

Black Bay GMT thousand times over the Aquaracer, But Tim is a seller and then a collector.
@the1916companywatchreviews4 жыл бұрын
I'd like to think I'm a collector first, and I've never claimed a watch to be what it's not. It's not as though I had a BB GMT on hand and declared the TAG better. Best, Tim
@brianpalay24 жыл бұрын
Black Bay GMT is about $1500 more on the used market, which for a $2500 price point, is not insignificant. That said, a friend of mine has a BB GMT and it just feels extremely solid.
@brianpalay24 жыл бұрын
@Matthew M It's true that TAG has better marketing = brand recognition. The Tudor is a better quality watch with an in-house movement and much longer power reserve. And I say this while wearing my TAG Heuer (rarer 500M) Aquaracer GMT. My preference for style and budget led me to my TAG (WAK211A), but I know it's technically inferior to the Tudor. That said, #1 rule? Just buy what you like!
@brianpalay24 жыл бұрын
@Matthew M The 99.9% of people who have only a casual familiarity with these brand names likely don't care about movements, or know what a movement is, but I figured we were the 0.1% watching Watchbox videos.

The only thing I don’t like about Rolex is how they don’t do double anti reflecting on their crystals, Tim when from showing us beautiful dials to us seeing the reflection of the ceiling when he pulled the Rolex president out
@69elchupacabra694 жыл бұрын
I believe they do that to make it sparkle and catch your attention more.

The reflecting crystals are as unmistakably Rolex as is the date magnifier. It HAS to be just like that to give it the legendary appearance.

@@bikemike1118 lol legendary. you're overdoing it
@69elchupacabra694 жыл бұрын
@Matthew M If Rolex is legendary at anything it's marketing and being the king of Veblen goods. I have a GMT myself, but I don't drink the kool aid. To call Rolex legendary when it is surrounded by so many brands that makes so much better watches, both above and below its price point, is just trying to justify their purchase. Am I saying Rolexes are bad watches? Of course not, they hold their values very well. But legendary? just lol
