@@weirdface1846 I'd say it's not that Kakarot has better animation but rather MUCH better direction for its attacks. I'd say there's plenty in Sparking Zero that shows that this team is capable. The problem is the camera angles direction for attacks often don't feel like they have purpose. They use insanely dynamic angles and motions at points but it feels more like it's done to show off and often times makes things look worse.

1:26 That's such a weird line for him to say. No one in universe 6 knew what a super saiyan was until Vegeta showed it to Cabba. There was no legend about them, nothing. So they didn't have a Namek Saga Vegeta-type saiyan going around proclaiming to be the legend every 5 minutes.

I think the direction in this game is pretty hit-or-miss. I feel like they didn’t have footage available for some of these attacks, or maybe they were ordered wrong when recording them. One of the lines that makes me think it’s the latter is Goku’s instant transmission Kamehameha. The “KA… ME… HA… ME…” sounds like it’s rising into the most impressive “HAAA” ever, but then it just turns into “Ha! 😀” I know Daman Mills directed this game. Idk what else he’s directed but I think there’s room for improvement. Or who knows, maybe it’s not his fault at all.

@@KALSKingdom Funnily enough, Clifford Chapin talked about this at a con I was at once. He explained basically with video games, you don't often have footage to pull from and the voice director has to not only interpret based on lines but also they often have to match the length of the Japanese line. He cited how in Xenoverse 2 there was a PQ he voiced specific lines for involving Broly attacking where he sounded justifiably startled by the predicament and then once Broly's defeated, he immediately goes into tutorial speak.

Daman stated this on Twitter, that they literally couldn't and didn't have footage to look at, so they had to wing the deliveries for the lines. Goku's "Kamehameha! 😀" is definitely confusing though, like you know DAMN well Goku wouldn't say it like that. 😭

Cabba's always been fairly thin which really is just a result of Toriyama's style moving away from extreme muscles at this time. It looks strange because for the existing Dragon Ball cast, they're as yolked out as ever.

I use ss1 cabba alot online he has good defensive and offensive options minus the energy spam attack (because they all suck) and you can go ss2 if you're against a character with super armor to break through, otherwise transformation isn't that worth it.

Galick Gun doesn't need any flash. It's Galick Gun, a move that, despite being Vegeta's Kamehameha, is heavily underutilized. It being used alone is enough spectacle. But yes, it would be nice if the U6 characters that are obviously clones of U7 characters were more original. Cabba is Little Vegeta Jr., Caulifla can be argued to be a Goku clone what with the move she did in the manga that used a Kamehameha-like hand position (and outside that, she's got nothing else going for her), and we all know who Kale is a wannabe of. Even Frost ain't being the Frieza knockoff allegations, as the only thing he has going for him is Secret Poison, which is specifically a body modification and not something he can do natively, and then abandons after his loss in the U6 Tournament.

Cabba is probably one of my least favorite characters, certainly my least favorite character from U6, and that does involve winnie pooh and magetta. However, I still want him to have a better moveset, because for my money, he has the worst moveset in Sparking Zero by far. There is nothing unique or special, even his one unique move is just punches without much flair or flourish. And it is still extremely weird to me how he has SS2 when he fought in that form for like a minute or two before he got knocked out. I much rather have Kale SS2 instead.

Cabba... oh, poor Cabba... while he is certainly not the worst (That title will forever will go to Roasie with the two volleys that do the same amount of damage and a reused Ultimate that's not specific to her.), they really did him dirty. Starting with base, Galick Gun's fine though yeah it could use a small tweak to make it more unique to him. High Speed Rush is terrible like always in this game and that Ultimate... God, I hate that Ultimate. For one thing, it's not an Ultimate. I know physical Ultimates exist but this is just pathetic. There aren't flourishes, there's no flair, it's just the same idea as High Speed Rush but extended and slightly more cinematic. Then Super Saiyan comes into the picture and frankly? It's even worse. We get a volley which is generic and of course volleys are terrible in this game, a reused Ultimate with an alright new beginning and his Ultimate is... just Galick Gun but with one of the generic cinematics for beam Ultimates. It's especially pitiful because the Galick Gun is literally just the standard attack with no changes to size or anything and I'm just gonna say it, I hate the generic beam ending scene. Raging Blast 2 gave us the perfect take on a generic beam ending with the shot it had of the beam swallowing up the target. We still get that here but it's so fast, it's hard to appreciate and due to Sparking Zero's sound effects being based on the distance the camera is from everything, the explosions don't have the oomph they should. SS2 is to me even worse. Galick Gun and a volley before finally having Final Stream which is at least an attack he used in SS2 specifically but it's not that impressive. You know what's especially disappointing is that they had moves to pull from. For instance, SS could've had for his Ultimate the rush he landed on Vegeta during the Tournament of Destroyers complete with blasts. He could've had the Energy Kicks if they wanted to give him a volley, there was stuff to do with him. He isn't just a Vegeta clone, he has cool moves to pull from and I know this series has always pulled from more than just the anime (The spin-kick Goku (Mid) lands as a Super Saiyan in his rush comes to mind which forever came from the manga and wasn't present in the original anime.) in terms of attacks. Hell it's made up moves before so why not do that? I know it's not possible for every character, I know this roster is massive. But I'm sorry, I'm so sick of giving the game passes because of the boneheaded moves of execs up top. This is what they released, it deserves the criticism.

There’s a small, selfish part of me that is happy the U6 Saiyans got washed-up movesets because of how much I hate them and almost all of Super. But they did a great disservice to both the characters and the fans of these characters. As a result, this was a severely botched part of Sparking Zero.

Yeah, my main issue with Cabba is how they gave Base Cabba not only the same rush attack at Fighting Teen Trunks and Base Broly, but also the move that he did in SUPER SAIYAN against Vegeta, but make it look so much worse. I always thought about that before Omega uploaded this video. And yes, those 3 ki waves he shot with his feet in an opening and in the T.O.P. vs Monna. I wish we could see that, and he did that in SSJ, so we easily could've gotten that instead of that fuckass Galick Rain.

@@WumboJumbo96 While I don't know his opinion, as someone who has played around with that arena, it is a bit of a struggle for videos like this. It feels a little cramped at points, there are many objects to wind up getting caught behind or in-between and it really feels like an arena that's built around the no-fly rule you can implement but for anything else it's not exactly the best.
