People getting picked on and bullied hits me different because I was one of the dorky kids growing up and was tormented through school, so I definitely know how it is to be beat down and feel unimportant and worthless. But now that I’m grown and can actually put a stop to it I do not tolerate anyone getting bullied or picked on especially if they have a disability. And Arissa, you’re sister is a blessing and a gift from god, she’s more than a sibling she’s a best friend, and I wish nothing but blessings for y’all and your family. Much 💕 from North Carolina 💕

Disabled people are not here to be made fun of or picked on and just like in the video no one wants to help until someone does something like this. as a 'disabled' person myself, who was bullied throughout her schooling up until I went to university, and as a mum of an 11 years old now, I can tell you one thing, parent to parent : you actually can't ignore it. My parents and teachers did tell me to ignore it, but I'm 43 so those were other times. We do know better now, and harassment is better taken care of by the professionals at school etc... and if they don't take care of it, I've been known to kick some butts (verbally) now and then. I remember so vividly how I felt at this time, how I wondered why no adult ever came to protect me. I knew that what the other kids were doing was wrong, so why the adults never told them? Children will always need the same thing, their parents protection.

As. The mother of a disabled daughter, there were so many times I wanted to quit and do what the mother did. But I confronted the bullies, the parents, the schools, the education authority. I reduced kids to tears when I told them the statistics of them having a child with disabilities or an accident that caused disability. I made teachers and the headmaster cry when I told them how they failed my daughter and every disabled child in the school. I pressed charges against a girl who kicked my daughter in the chest so hard she left a large black bruise-luckily not breaking her sternum. Nothing came of it because she was 12-but it scared the hell out of her,and her mother moved her to another school. I moved my daughter to another school that was better. I was referred to as “scary mum” by the bullies. Nobody had ever confronted them or spoken to them like I did. Now they stay away.

When I was in High School... There was this physically and mentally challenged young lady in a wheelchair that use to get bullied. I wasn't greatly popular but people respected me because I was great in many different sports and studies. One day I saw a bunch of people bullying her and I stepped in ( Oh boy the difference it made). After that, I would push her to every class between periods and people stopped messing with her. I pushed her from grade 9 - 13 (advanced study) in Canada. Moral of the story; Don't be a follower, be a leader and do the right thing. It makes a difference because the school system is really messed up and takes too long to get problems solved. It's up to us as students to stop it. Stay safe and have a blessed day.

Sorry you had to endure bullying. I too was bullied for years as a child, for me it was because of my severe eczema. I frequently had large parts of my body be raw exposed flesh. I endured enough physical pain without having emotional torment piled on top. I had people who would walk in front of me at school shouting "beware the lepor"& "unclean, clear the way". My school never took action when I reported it. One day I snapped & gave one of the hardest kids in our year a black eye & got a week of detentions (which I never attended). That bully actually offered to shake my hand for standing up for myself but I declined the offer, at least the bullying declined after that. This was one of the hardest videos I've ever watched on you tube

My teacher showed this to my entire social class and by the end, if not even the middle, almost all of us were in tears. He asked nothing of us afterwards except to sit in silence and write down on a slip of paper one word to describe what we just saw and/or felt. People wrote down things such as "Bullying", "Sad", and "Shocked". I remember there being so many things I wanted to say, but all I did write was "Real", because it is, and this kind of thing happens everyday. I wish this didn't happen in our time and world. But it does. And, in my teacher's own words, it's up to us, as people, to decide whether or not we want that to change.

This hits close to home. My hearing-impaired sister was tormented for years by bullies. The police were contacted time and again but never did anything. In an effort to get her to stop calling the police eventually sent my mum letters explaining that there was nothing they could do even though my sister seriously assaulted by local youths with gang connections. By the time my sister came home with blood running down her face and bruises everywhere mum had enough and knew that if she left things any longer my sister would soon be dead. Mum torched the home of the tormentors. No one was home at the time but they got their warning to leave town and never hurt my sister again. The police tried to get mum put away for a long time and claimed she never came to see them for help. She proved they were liars in court by presenting the letters. The judge felt sympathy and said they would have done the same to protect their child. My sister became a boxer and mum is an author, consultant, and researcher.

I'm 53 years old and have an emotional disability . I'm bullied in different ways by my own son's girlfriend . She tries to get me to hit her so she can get me arrested . Cops don't help , or care . All I can do is try so hard to ignore it but it ruins my thoughts all day and she does this on purpose . I figure she has more problems than I do and she should be in therapy as I am . You don't bully someone with certain disabilities and not expect a tragic out come . Educate yourselves ! I'm lucky because I'm not violent by nature and my life experience has afforded me the luxury to not react and try to ignore it . I refuse to stoop to her level of total disrespect and ignorance . Peace to all who may be experiencing a similar situation . ❤️ P. S. Even Hollywood puts out movies where the only solution is for the person being bullied to commit suicide . That's disgusting . According to the credits it's based on a true story and probably is . Well, to the person and people (my own son included) who bully me , you're not worth my aggravation and you deserve to be ignored ! To everyone out there , be careful who you trust .

I eventually got fed up with the bullys and punched 3 in the face and 1 slammed against a locker. The victim of the bullying was standing there for a few seconds. I smiled and he ran up and hugged me. All 4 bullys got suspended and may not go to my school anymore. He's an amazing person and we should always be nice to people even if they are different then us. We are all human, don't forget that! Just live, it doesn't matter who you are. It doesn't matter what you look like or sound like. We all should hold hands and stand up together. The Simmons Family bullied Fiona Plikingotn over a number of years and this is because her disabled daughter and the Simmins fell out. There were also incidents of her son being bullied as well. The police did nothing even with many calls made by her. She made a lot of detailed logs on the abuse everyday. It's only after she set herself and daughter on fire in her car on Leicester Road, it's on the lay-bys to Hinckley and Earl Shilton where the roundabouts are that the car was found. The IPCC had to investigate this and there was action taken against the police. The Simmins had jail time but they are still back in the community. The parents moved out a year ago but the brothers still live in the area and do cause trouble in the community house sometimes.

Chill Player If you help an ostracized kid, be prepared to be bullied along with them because that's exactly what I did a couple decades ago. It was a heavy blow to my moral compass, to say the least. If you find the courage to try, anyway... I hope you have better luck. A bit of advice: If you befriend the ostracized, don't ever betray them when the going gets tough. You won't be able to return to a normal social status even if you try. I learned that the hard way.

I remember the genuine case that this short film is based on. I think that it happened maybe ten years ago or maybe longer ago. Horrible, sadistic, immature, spiteful and nasty adults and teenagers were those responsible for driving a mother to desperation.

Im glad ur doing good. Have any of the bullies told u they are sorry?? I bullied kids in school and it haunted me when i grew older and understood the gravity.. i think karma caught up with me.. at least i find some comfort that i actually reached out to most of them later in life and told them im sorry and how bad i regret it.. Most of them really appreciated it and said they forgive me. One girl said she eill never forgive me and told me to go to hell.. it hurt but i underdtand. And st least i did what i could. Worst thing when you bully someone is that it can be impossible to heal later. You scar people for life.. Nobody child or grownup need that in their life. Life can be tough as it is..

@@youremybiggestfan Hey Tito, one kind of did in 1998, and wanted to be my friend after that. We ended up supporting each other through some pretty hard times. Even though we live in different cities now we still talk regularly. Your retrospection is awesome because many bullies turn themselves into the victim when they can't deal with what they've done to others. I give props to you for the difficult choice of fronting up to your actions. Take care and all the best.

Hei Hikaru see If I saw my bully getting bullied, this sounds wrong but, I would give it a few so they can realise that they are putting someone down, and then stick up for them. But if it's a bully that bullies because they were picked on and i know that they were, I would instantly help. I know it sounds rude but I grew up a smart ass and will continue to be one. And revenge is part of that territory for me.

I had a friend in elementary school that was mentally disabled. We bonded over our mutual love for dinosaurs. One day, his mom saw and approached me. She told me that her son talks about be a lot and that she was happy that he had a friend like me. Sadly, she also told me that he was moving away. Since I was used to moving a lot and saying good bye for many years during my childhood, I wasn't as sad as I am now to know I may never see him again. So when our teacher said that he had left, I didn't cry, I just wished him luck because I felt he would be able to find more friends. Now that I'm an adult, I regret not missing him or trying to find ways to contact him or his mom to see how he's doing. After going through highschool, I couldn't help but worry over how he's doing since we last saw each other. I never learned his last name, so my attempt in searching for him makes it harder. Although I've given up, I truly, deeply hope that he's doing well.

Chloe Osterman I know exactly how they feel because I was once living that life always scared. I was bullied in high school but so afraid to tell the principle or teacher or else my bulliers would find out and just make it way worse then it was the only one I told is my mom and told her not to do anything about it. Because I wasn't going to school to cause problems just to get my education, graduate and get out of there. Years after when I graduated college even I was finally able to tell one of my teachers back then I told her I didn't feel safe then... she said you know you were safe with us, you should have told us and I said I was scared! I'm sorry for the long message but I had to say this because I agree with you bullying someone is not cool and should be stopped!!!!!
