This is so sad and the reality-based that homelessness faced daily. Excellent film. Well done.

This is what not doing what’s in the best interest of your child really looks like

I almost decided to not give a thumbs up because I have absolutely no patience for addicts, especially if there are children involved. But, since this short made me so incredibly angry, I felt that it had more than done its job.❤ Message received. 👍🏽

I used to feel the same way you do about addicts. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a shielded environment and didn't personally know anyone affected by addiction - or so I thought. I also don't have (or plan on having) children of my own. That being said, noone wakes up one morning and decides to be an addict. The events leading up to that point might differ from person to person and depending on the circumstances, some may find it harder to break out of that spiral than others.

You couldn't walk away from the police like that in USA 😢

Police brutality?

Speaking as a citizen of the US, one who’s been in my fair share of protests against police brutality, this woman shouldn’t have been allowed to walk away, either. She was drunk when the police found her, and had endangered her child’s life on multiple levels throughout the film. The child should have been taken away from her, and charges pressed against the mother for child endangerment. The police have done some terrible things in the US, to be sure, but that does not mean they’re always in the wrong.

I feel angry, very very angry. That woman puts her child at risk on so many different levels. There is no excuse, especially with addictions of choice.. Help is always available for the woman, and for the child. Shame on her.

There is no such thing as addiction by choice - Addiction is defined as not having control over doing, taking or using something to the point where it could be harmful to you.
@marita2007ausАй бұрын
@@TheKazadoodle The choice was to start (often knowing it can become an addiction) and to continue. And, if ''not having control'" means that NO ONE with an addiction can ever be cured.
@TheKazadoodleАй бұрын
@@marita2007aus addicts are never cured, they are sober (but still addicts) and not giving in to their addiction. Did they make that choice to start? Maybe. No one thinks they will become an addict - no one

@@TheKazadoodle I don't agree with what you said. It seems you're referring only to alcohol, perhaps from 'a personal perspective. I am commenting as a clinician. Also, the statement you made (addicts are never cured, they are sober (but still addicts), is used by AA. I believe this statement, is, and has, very NEGATIVE consequences that lead to relapses.

Acting in roles like this must also be traumatizing to the actors.

I do wonder how such young actors, keep real life & acting separate.
@MTCali1970Ай бұрын
@@HookBeak_66 I was just thinking; they must be under MK Ultra programming, where they have multiple personalities they can shift back and fourth with so they do not "fall apart" doing all these 'characters'..

Cruel.. pq não dar pra alguém que dê uma vida pra ela viver, e não estar sentada em cima de um jogo o tempo todo.
