I love Jerry Goldsmith's music so much The first OST composer i bought a CD (first blood part 2) I was in London in 2003 or 2004 to see him in concert with LSO... but he was so suffering he couldn't come. Then he died in july. Big miss of my life.

Not a very good movie IMHO but Goldsmith' Score is a masterclass in film music composition for orchstestra and choir. The track The Hunt is one of the musical highlights of horror film history.

Totally agree.. The score makes it seems the final film will be a grand epic to close the trilogy, but sadly ends with a whimper. I wouldn't mind if they went back and rebooted the final film to be dramatic, and operatic.

@@bryanpartington3260 I’m afraid I’ll have to disagree, though of course all we’re talking here is personal preference. You say the second one is good but isn’t as quote ‘fearsome’ unquote as the second one. I think you’re referring to the first part of the sentence as ‘the first one’ though correct me if I’m wrong on this. I’d like to discuss for a minute if I may why I prefer the third soundtrack to the other two . It has in my opinion more characteristic classical tones, reminiscent of Later Mozart, particularly his Requiem Mass, and doesn’t have the obvious reference to Satanic chanting, say as what you get in such films as Rosemary’s Baby. Even though I would agree with you that the first film is generally a better quality film. I hope you understand and appreciate this, and there was never any intention of offending anyone in this matter. I hope we can get through all this and put it behind us. Look, I understand what you meant about the first film. It is wonderful, yes, it is ‘Pearl’ shall we say, but I don’t think we should fall out on such a matter, wouldn’t you agree? I’m sorry the hurt I caused you in this situation and just want to forget the whole ugly thing and put it behind us now. I think we can do it if we try, if really do Mr. Partington.
