I know this video is a few years old now but I appreciate it, me and my band have been offered a free recording day and asked us to do a cover. We're going to cover this song but in drop A, already looking forward to how it'll sound

I like how you added the tab to what you're playing. I feel this is the best way for me to learn a new song because I can watch how you play it as well as see the tab. I appreciate your upload!

Great cover! Not to be a stickler but Mark and Willie hit the open 4th string with each unmuted note in the intro riff, it gives it this weird cool dissidence sound idk how to describe it lol. so like 5th fret 5th string & open 4th string than 4th fret 5th string & open 4th string so on throughout the song whenever this riff is played. During the chorus riff you should bend both fretted 6th & 5th strings a whole step up. Add the muted 4th string as well for a fuller sound while your at it. The bridge is missing the quarter bends at the 8th and 6th fretted notes and again missing the 4th open string when the 6th & 5th string are played open. Still great cover!

It sounds like a mix of pinch harmonics and/or natural harmonics, most likely on the top 3 strings at a guess. I'll have to have a look at it sometime.

i know this is old vid but how do i make the sound when does the 11/15 part in the intro.../song
@ShadowMantraSteve4 жыл бұрын
The squeal sound is a punch harmonic. The idea is to hit the string with the plectrum and then the edge of your thumb to create a harmonic. I did a video going over all the types of harmonics - kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGLPY6VufKanj7M I talk about pinch harmonics at 3:40. Hope that helps!
