One of the most heartwarming war stories I've ever herd was told to me by a man whose father was German soldier in the Battle of Berlin. A fanatical officer took charge of them, handed them some token antitank weapons, tried to gee them up with a speech about self sacrifice for the fuhrer etc., and as soon as he led them out into the street fighting, they pushed the muzzle of a gun into the back of his neck and commanded him to walk slowly towards the Soviet tanks, hands up and white flag flying. And they all survived the war !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly, that was BADASS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Especially after rule based Kosovo independence this whole action of the soldiers was strange. Who would fight against a neighbour who wants to take the province of the country wihout asking yourself if maybe the majority of the people in that province would prefer to be part of another country?
